It was already late when Nidia had finished work and reached home. She cooked a pack of instant noodles for dinner and got ready for bed. After washing up, she laid down on her bed.
Taking out her phone, she scrolled through her messages to find Patricia's chat box.
She had informed Patricia earlier that she would be working overtime today.
In the blink of an eye, another month passed. Going down the calendar, her child was about to be 100 days old.
Video calling before bed had become a habit for Nidia now.
Hesitant, Nidia pressed on the video call button.
Patricia picked up almost immediately.
"You're finally done with work?"
"Mhm, I reached home a while ago. Has Bubsy slept?"
"Nope, he's still playing!" Patricia said as she aimed her camera at the little guy.
