"Kylia, are you sure you can handle this on your own?" Julia asked with concern. Gently, she wiped away Kylia's teardrops that still lingered in her eyes after crying throughout the journey to Nusa Persada High School.
"I am okay, Mom! I don't need to be taken care of like a little child! I'm already eighteen!" Kylia brushed Julia's hand away from her face.
"Okay... Okay... you're grown up... but please be careful, alright? Don't follow strangers just because they offer you candy."
"MOM!!"
"Okay... okay..." Julia could only smile at her blushing daughter.
"I'm going now, bye..." Kylia said before turning around and walking towards the school building from the parking lot.
"Take care! I'll pick you up after school!" Julia waved at Kylia, but Kylia didn't wave back. Once Kylia disappeared from her sight, Julia got back into her car.
As Kylia walked, still wearing a frustrated expression, she muttered, "That bitch really gets on my nerves!"
