As usual, the streets were overrun with rampaging monsters. It's hard to believe that these very streets were once bustling with human activity. The city had completely transformed into a city of monsters.
"Leader! This is our last magazine!" reported S-30 through the radio.
They all looked exhausted, their military uniforms drenched in sweat. Although they didn't directly engage with the monsters, only shooting from inside the jeep, the relentless advance of the creatures, seemingly unkillable, made their hearts race wildly. Their bodies felt as if they had been running for miles.
Del grabbed a magazine bag from the middle seat of the jeep and tossed it to S-40, who caught it effortlessly.
"Use that! In a few minutes, we'll abandon the jeep and fight on foot. Empty your magazines before that!" he commanded, then discarded his own AUG A3, which had run out of bullets, and pulled out a military knife from its sheath.
