Arthur broke out of his thoughts, "What?"
"He was asking when you're telling us the reason you couldn't come to school," Darius reiterated.
"Oh, that!" the boy raised his hand so his comrades could see the bronze bracelets bound tightly to his wrists, "I… was supposed to have these before coming here. My guardian wasn't taking any chances."
"They make you slow," Tristan observed and while he hated the fact that he'd noticed this, it was true. Arthur's movements weren't as elusive as he remembered. What bothered him was that they still weren't able to beat the boy in this weakened state.
"Yes… yes, they do. Still, there is not much I can do about it," Arthur shrugged.
"I thought those types of seals are supposed to suppress emotions and not reduce the power someone can use," Tristan asked, "High-ranking nobles are fond of keeping them around. They sometimes seal away emotions like empathy, love or hatred."
