The Throne room fell silent at the mention of sealing the Phoenix of Calamity. In the chaos surrounding Arthur's mistake, one unrealistic piece of information was enough to bring it all to a brief pause.
In the past hour, events had been moving so fast that no one could tell up from down anymore.
A bead of sweat had already started forming on the king's brow when he heard this, "This… human is going to seal the Phoenix of Calamity. What do you take me for, Gray? How could you let him fool you into believing something that stupid?"
"Perhaps you would like to hear him out first," Gray responded, unphased by his father's outburst.
"Hear him out? Gray, he's the son of the Arcanium. If he as much as breathes one word about our existence, the dragon king will come knocking on the Phoenix Barrier and burn everything in his path," the king argued.
"And yet he's known of our existence for a whole year," Gray added.
