Arthur stared at the blonde girl before him with nothing in his mind. She was beautiful, kind and for a brief moment, he forgot that she'd lied to him.
Since he met Alex, with the exception of the somewhat rocky beginning, he'd only seen the good side of her.
She was from a decent background, the daughter of the Oakwoods, a family that was deeply involved in trade between the Phoenix Kingdom and Alcove.
They did well for themselves and yet she didn't flaunt that fact around. Arthur knew nothing of her fighting prowess but he did know her to be a diligent and hardworking person.
He also knew from the few times she'd played the Lady In White, that she was quite elegant in the way she carried herself. She was also the first girl in their age group to treat him like a person without some external push.
So, yes, Arthur had grown pretty fond of her.
And yet, here he was, trying to avoid her.
