Alex's parents were usually quite busy… and even when they were to visit the Phoenix Castle, they always called ahead. As a result, Alex only expected to interact with other phoenixes if she went out to meet them herself.
When she heard a knock on the door, her first thought had been that Arthur had come back to his senses and was ready to apologize. Alas, that was not the case.
Peeking out the door, she searched the halls for any possible clues for the random visit, "Are you sure you're at the right door?"
"You are still the daughter of the Oakwoods, are you not?" Miranda asked.
"Yes, I am. Is something wrong?" Alex asked in a worried tone. Her hair was still wet and starting to wet the casual clothes she'd doned in a hurry.
"Your movements, especially during the evenings, have become somewhat… erratic. Erratic enough that you have gained my attention," Miranda spoke in a dangerous tone.
