Arthur looked around a little more, trying to investigate the ominous feeling in his gut. Something was still wrong with this scene.
A tree growing taller than the rest, with no competition from the others… even amongst themselves, making the entire top of the forest appear like a professionally cut hedge.
The trees all grew in an odd form of peace and harmony that turned Arthur's stomach the wrong way.
As the prince struggled to find out what bothered him most about all this, he noticed a few sections of the greenery waving gently in the wind…
'Wind?' the prince wondered.
He went still for a bit… but felt no breeze. Maybe there was a breeze he felt when he was underneath the canopies, but it wasn't the same up here.
Above the trees, there was nothing. And even more peculiar was the fact that there were no birds around either.
