The doors of the Throne room slammed shut, drowning the room in silence. Except for making a short comment on the prince, the blonde guardian had remained silent throughout the king's session with Prince Arthur, diligently watching their exchange.
Now that Arthur had left, a tense silence flooded the room of high-ranking phoenixes. They'd both seen Arthur's reaction towards a question of self.
While unclear, it warranted suspicion, "Do you need any more proof?" Brandon asked.
"I haven't been looking for proof, Guardian," the king growled at the blonde guardian… "Merely how much time we've lost by using the Kiln to restore him."
Brandon balled his fists and contained his frustrations.
