Luffy then slipped his gun and spread his arms out, and faster than the man or woman could react, two ropes made of electricity shot out of Luffy's palms and wrapped around them.
"AHHH!" "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" the lady asked or shouted. Luffy didn't answer; he just pulled on the straps, causing the two of them to fly off and land on the ship.
Luffy then released the electric ropes, causing most of them to disappear, leaving only a few holding them in place.
Everyone then saw Crocus walk through the doors where the boy and girl came out and disappeared.
"Now, who are you two?" Zoro asked as he walked towards the two. Sanji sat next to the woman, with heart's in his eyes, while the others just watched as the man and woman spoke to each other in hushed tones. Soon everyone noticed that the whale had stopped rampaging and had calmed down, causing the sea inside its stomach to also calm down.
"You parasites are still here!" Crocus shouted from the top of the stairs which got everyone's attention.
"The old man is back again," said Usopp.
"I'm tired of this, and for the last time." "As long as I'm still breathing, you can't hurt Laboon!" Crocus shouted from the top of the stairs. Immediately the two people that Luffy had caught earlier started laughing; they then stood up even though they were tied up, causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows.
"You can't tell us to abandon our mission," said the woman.
"We were sent here to kill this whale, and that is exactly what we are going to do, and this time we won't let you interfere!" "We are," the man said, but suddenly stopped when the electric rope that bound them broke. giving them both a shock they'll never forget.
"Put socks in their mouths," said Luffy as they both groaned in pain on the deck of the ship. "Hey, old man Crocus," said Luffy, getting the man's attention.
"Can we go now and talk all of this outside, where my ship doesn't risk being digested?" said Luffy.
"Fine," Crocus said before he got back into the water and swam to his ship or island. "Follow me," he said before the island started moving toward the two giant doors. When the doors opened, the two ships began sailing through the canal inside the whale.
"Why does this whale have a canal in it?" he asked.
"Let's call it the creative mind of the doctor," Crocus replied. "It's impossible to care for a whale of this size, so I have to find a way to deal with it," he said, causing the men in straw hats to nod their heads in understanding.
When they reached the end of the canal, they found a set of doors. When they got to the door, Crocus steered his ship/island over there and pulled a lever, which caused the door to open. When the door opened, everyone was immediately exposed to sunlight, causing them all to smile.
They sailed out of the whale and anchored the ship beside the Twin Capes, where Crocus lived. The whole crew got off the ship and went to a small island connected to the Red Line, which has a lighthouse.
"Sanji," said Luffy as he exited the ship, earning his attention. "How about you make us some lunch considering how we couldn't eat because the marines were bothering us?" Luffy said, causing Sanji to nod before walking back to the ship and into the galley.
"I'm going to prepare some bluefin tuna I got in Logue Town," he said happily. After thirty minutes, Sanji reappeared from the ship carrying several plates of food that looked very delicious. "Lunch is ready," he said as he placed all the plates in front of everyone, including Crocus.
"This looks delicious, thank you Sanji," said Nojiko.
"Anything for you, my beloved Nojiko!" Sanji answered with a heart in his eyes. Luffy took out two glasses and placed one in front of Crocus before he poured whiskey into both of them.
"So, Crocus," said Luffy as he took his plate. "What's the problem with this whale?" he asked, causing everyone to look at Crocus to hear what he had to say.
"The whale's name is Laboon. "It is a unique and extraordinary creature, an island whale, one of the largest species in the world that can only be found in the West Blue," he said before taking a sip of the whiskey Luffy poured for him.
"Those two guys just now hunted Laboon for its meat. "A whale the size of Laboon could feed a small island for at least two years," he said.
"So who are the two of them?" said Johnny. "Hey, where are they?" he then asked after looking at the ship and seeing they were gone.
"I guess my lightning bolt disappeared and they ran away," Luffy said with a shrug before looking at Crocus, waiting for him to continue.
"There's a reason he keeps slamming himself into the red line and howling at Reverse Mountain," Crocus said before he ate some food. "In Laboon, it beats the human heart and is truly loyal to a certain group of pirates," he said, causing Luffy to raise an eyebrow.
"You see, Laboon followed a band of pirates all the way from the West Blue and into the Grand Line. When they got here at the Twin Capes, their ship was so badly damaged that they spent a few months here trying to repair it.
"After they repaired the ship, they decided to set sail, and since the Grand Line was very dangerous, they had to leave Laboon here, but before they left, they promised him they would definitely come back for him," he said with a sad expression on his face. "It has been 50 years since the incident," he said, causing everyone's eyes to widen.
"Don't you think 50 years is a bit extreme?" said Usopp as he finished his food. "That pirate sure knows how to test someone's patience," said Usopp.
"You idiot, this is the Grand Line," said Zoro from his spot next to Luffy. "The pirate group is most likely dead," he said.
"Sad to say, but it might be true," Nami said between her mouthfuls. "At the time when they sailed, the Grand Line was an uncharted sea, thousands of times more precious than it is today," she said.
"Come on, big sis," said Yosaku. "They might still come back for him, have some sympathy," he said, making Luffy laugh. That's a funny thing to hear; pirates have sympathies.
"You may believe that, but reality is cruel," Crocus said, getting their attention once again. "The pirates didn't die; in fact, they abandoned their adventure." "I know they turned around and left the Grand Line," he said, causing them all to look on sadly.
"They are a bunch of cowards who would rather save themselves than keep a promise to a friend," said Nojiko angrily, causing everyone to nod.
"That was incredible cruelty," said Johnny. Luffy just looked at the whale with a serious expression on his face.
"Did you tell him?" Luffy asked while not taking his eyes off Laboon.
"Yes, every sad detail," he said sadly. That was the day Laboon started howling at Reverse Mountain. Not long after, he started slamming his body into the Red Line, as if he believed that the wall was keeping him and his friends away, if he could destroy it they would immediately come back" Crocus said causing the bounty hunter duo to cry a bit along with Usopp.
"Laboon is a lost soul wanting to be with his friends and just killing himself trying to meet them," he said. Luffy got up from his seat and walked to the side of the Twin Capes towards Laboon and stared at the whale.
Then, from the bright blue sky, a bolt of lightning descended and hit the whale, causing it to roar in pain and rage.
"I want to fight you, stupid whale!" Luffy shouted at the whale. Everyone started panicking at what Luffy was trying to do.
