It was a strange interaction between two pirate groups if the person on top of the execution platform was a pirate too. It was then that a man from the crowd shouted to get everyone's attention.
"Hey!" he shouted while pointing at Luffy to get everyone's attention, including Luffy.
"T-That guy... is a rookie pirate with a 100 million berry bounty on his head!" he shouted, causing everyone's heads to move towards the smiling Luffy.
"He is the Thunder Demon! Straw-Hat Luffy!" He shouted at Luffy with so much fear in his voice. The people around started feeling scared and wondering where Marine was.
It was then that Luffy decided to start the show. He looked up at the sky, which was already full of thunderclouds; Luffy smiled before walking forward; he stood on the edge and spread his arms wide; then he screamed at the top of his lungs.
"MY NAME IS MONKEY D. LUFFY!" he shouted, drawing everyone's attention to him. "And I AM THE MAN WHO WILL BECOME KING OF THE PIRATES!" Luffy screamed and used his devil fruit to make thunder roll across the sky, and lightning flashed right behind him as he said that.
Luffy then, with his arms spread wide, looked up at the sky and smiled. The people in the square were extremely shocked by what they had just heard and witnessed.
"What..?" said a civilian in shock.
"He just said Pirate King," the others said in disbelief.
"Moreover, he said it in this city; that's a crazy thing to say," said another. Just when everyone thought Luffy was crazy, something strange happened. From a sky filled with dark clouds, a hole opened in the cloud, and through the hole, a ray of sunlight shone down on the platform and Luffy.
Everyone's mouths were gaping at this. Sanji and Zoro, who were standing at the back of the crowd to see what Luffy was doing, gaped and their eyes widened.
Smoker and every marine there were shocked and a little scared by what they saw. The smoker's cigarette even fell from his mouth as he stared at the scene before him.
Luffy stood there with his arms spread wide, looking up at the sky with a smile while a beam of light cut through the clouds and illuminated him. This sight was like a beam from heaven that shone on Luffy right after he made his declaration of becoming the pirate king.
It was as if he had been chosen by heaven to become the next pirate king.
Luffy himself felt confused because he didn't make the hole so the light could enter, and he was also scared seeing this. He glanced at everyone and saw everyone staring at him in disbelief while Buggy and the rest of his crew kneeled down and stared at him in awe.
It was then that understanding came into Luffy's mind about what this whole scene looked like. He couldn't help but laugh before looking back up at the sky and seeing the hole start to close.
Luffy, thinking he should add a bit more drama to the closure, makes a very loud burst of lightning before the hole closes and the light starts to fade.
As the light disappeared, Luffy lowered his arm and saw that everyone still had their jaws hanging down. He turned his body into lightning and teleported to the back of the crowd right in the middle of Sanji and Zoro surprising them.
"Shut your mouth or the flies will get in," he said, snapping them both out of their confusion.
"Luff..fy, that was..." Sanji said vaguely.
"Don't ask me." "I'm just as confused as you," Luffy said, surprising them. "Is everyone ready?" he asked, causing Zoro and Sanji to nod. "Well, let's go," he said before they started to walk away.
As they walked away, hundreds upon hundreds of Marines stormed the Plaza and surrounded Luffy and every other pirate there.
When Marine appeared, the civilians present who were still looking at the platform immediately snapped out of their shock.
"It seems Marine really wants to catch you, luffy," said Sanji while lighting a cigarette. Luffy and Zoro laughed before Zoro spoke.
"There are at least 1,000 marines here," he said, looking at their surroundings.
"Yeah, the entrance to the Grand Line might be blocked by Marine Warships," said Luffy with a grin. "Okay kids, let's show the marines why they can't mess with us," said Luffy while looking at the group of marines in front of him.
"Electro-murder!" Luffy said while holding out his hand in front of him. From the tips of his fingers, ten ropes of electricity shot out and wrapped around the ten closest marines before the ropes continued to travel from the first ten bound marines to behind them and still running to their sides.
When it stopped, the technique made 50 marines bound and scream in pain. Luffy then raised the voltage and let it sit for two seconds before he stopped the technique, which caused all 50 marines to fall to the ground dead.
Luffy looked back to see how Zoro and Sanji were doing. The first thing he saw was a gigantic tornado made of wind that tossed the marines into the air. As the tornado cleared, Luffy saw Zoro standing in the center with his three swords drawn.
Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, a marine's body collided with Luffy's, which shocked him while electrocuting the unconscious marine. Luffy looked to see where he was coming from and saw Sanji spinning around using his arms, kicking Marine all over the place.
"Hey! "Look where you kick your enemy!" Luffy shouted.
"Sorry, Captain," said Sanji with a nervous laugh.
"Come on, let's go," he said before the three of them started to run.
