Gianna's bitter words hung in the air as she turned sharply, walking closer and closer to the edge of the deck, the railing the only barrier between her and the cold, dark ocean below. Cindy watched, her heart pounding as Gianna's movements became more deliberate, her steps calculated. There was a cold glint in Gianna's eyes, something sinister that sent a wave of panic rushing through Cindy's veins.
"Gianna, what are you doing?" Cindy's voice was tight with alarm as she stepped forward, her eyes flicking between Gianna's face and the dangerously close railing.
