Cindy Richards started avoiding Alexander Sterling from then on. If he came late, she would make sure to come earlier than him, and if she saw him anywhere in the company, then she would bolt towards the other direction.
She was very embarrassed, but she absolutely could never get the kiss out of her head! Although she had been drunk during the whole ordeal, she remembered vividly how she had thrown herself on him and even initiated the kiss herself! She had been very bold, and now she was dying of embarrassment. She was also a bit scared that Alexander Sterling would start seeing her in a different light. He already had Joanna Bloom, and her throwing herself at him like that was not a very good show.
Things at the office were very busy as well. Their design team was working very hard. Ariana Stephens did not even have time to gossip.
The Eclipse Awards ceremony was coming around the corner, and many stars had already booked their slots. There were many celebrity stylists who came in every now and again trying to see how their designs were going. Sometimes, they even came with the celebrities themselves, and Cindy Richards had never seen so many celebrities in her life in a single day.
Ariana Stephens nudged her, "Get used to it. These are just the smaller ones. When Benjamin Clarke comes in later, won't your eyes pop out?"
Cindy Richards turned to her, "Benjamin Clarke?"
Ariana Stephens nodded, "Yes, when he attends local Award Ceremonies, then we are the ones who style him, but when he is abroad, then international companies do. Joanna Bloom's team does the styling every time, though, but still…"
Cindy Richards understood. Benjamin Clarke was quite a big star in the country. He was an actor, singer, and model, and he had won a lot of awards ever since he debuted. He was very popular and in demand. He was also very handsome too.
Often, he would send his agent to come and see how the designs were going, but there were many rumors that he was going to come in personally this time around which would explain the excitement of everyone in the office. Joanna Bloom's team and their design had been chosen, but there were so many things that needed to be changed, and that was why Benjamin Clarke was coming in.
Cindy Richards did not really care for him, so she kept herself at the side, working on the design she had not completed. Joanna Bloom came strutting towards her when she saw her alone. She sneered when she saw the design Cindy Richards was working on, "Is that what you are going to present? Let me tell you, do not have any ideas because our design has already been chosen!"
Cindy Richards really wondered what she had done to this woman. She was the one who should be mad because Joanna Bloom was Alexander Sterling's mistress, but she had the nerve to be angry.
Cindy Richards did not really like to keep things hidden, so she blurted out, "Oh! That mediocre design that you presented yet didn't even put in any effort?"
In Joanna Bloom's team, she never did any of the work yet she was the one who presented. She was also the one who went out to meet the celebrities her team had been chosen to style. The only reason she was given so much respect by her team was because of the rumors that she was Alexander Sterling's woman. Other than that, she would have already been kicked out of the company long ago!
No one wanted to mess with her, so they let her do whatever she wished. Joanna Bloom heard Cindy Richards calling her design mediocre and got very angry, "What did you just say?"
Cindy Richards did not really want to deal with her, so she sighed, "Leave me alone and go your way. I am very busy!"
Joanna Bloom almost slapped her, but Ariana Stephens and Paul Jobs came in at that exact time and stopped her. Ariana Stephens yelled, "What are you trying to do?"
Joanna Bloom did not even look at her as though she was not even important. Cindy Richards was focused on her design because she did not want to deal with her. She had a lot of things in mind. Joanna Bloom sneered, "You have really angered me, and I will make sure you pay!"
Cindy Richards looked up, "Are going to tell on me to that big-shot lover of yours? Be my guest, do whatever you like!"
Joanna Bloom's anger was bubbling up so much that she stomped out. Ariana Stephens and Paul Jobs looked at Cindy Richards weirdly. Ariana Stephens asked, "Just how in the world did you and Joanna Bloom get on such bad terms?"
She pulled the seat next to Cindy Richards's. Cindy Richards slowly cupped her head, "I met her yesterday when I went to the bathroom. She was rather rude, and I could not just let her speak to me that way, so I…said some things…"
Ariana Stephens was curious, "What sort of things?"
Cindy Richards recounted, "I heard that Alexander Sterling is married and that she was just a mistress, and I have also told her that her team's designs are very mediocre and they only get chosen because of the rumors going around that she is the CEO's woman!"
Ariana Stephens opened her mouth in shock while Paul Jobs looked at Cindy Richards strangely. Stanley Park and Felix Hans, who had just come back from getting some supplies, also looked at her very strangely.
Ariana Stephens reminded Cindy Richards, "You should be very careful with Joanna Bloom. She can do very bad things to you if she says so!" She was very worried. A similar case had happened to an intern last year, and thinking about Cindy Richards being at odds with Joanna Bloom made her very worried.
This was the least of Cindy Richards's worries. If she wanted to deal with Joanna Bloom, then she would have done so yesterday, but she was worried Alexander Sterling would jump in to try to rescue the damsel in distress. She was not really scared of Joanna Bloom.
She laughed when she heard Ariana Stephens, "Don't worry, I am not that easy to bully either!"
