Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Backlash

As word of Ash's success with the tablet spread throughout the school, he began to notice a change in the way some of his colleagues viewed him. At first, they had been curious about the device and eager to learn more about how it worked. But now, as more and more students began to achieve higher grades and better test scores, some teachers began to feel threatened.

One day, during a faculty meeting, Ash overheard two teachers whispering to each other about him.

"Have you seen the way his students are performing?" one of them said. "It's not natural. He must be cheating or something."

Ash felt a twinge of anger and frustration. He knew that his success wasn't due to cheating or any other underhanded tactics. He had simply found a new way to connect with his students and help them learn.

But as the whispers grew louder and more teachers began to voice their concerns, Ash began to worry that he was doing something wrong.

He decided to approach the school principal, Mrs. Garcia, and explain what he had been doing with the tablet. To his surprise, she was skeptical at first.

"I appreciate your enthusiasm, Ash," she said. "But I'm not sure this is the right way to go about things. We have a curriculum to follow, and we need to make sure that all of our students are getting the same education."

Ash was taken aback. He had assumed that the principal would be impressed by his results, but instead, she seemed to be pushing back against him.

Over the next few days, Ash began to hear rumors that some teachers were planning to report him to the school board for using the tablet. He felt like he was being attacked from all sides, and he wasn't sure what to do.

But then he received an unexpected message from an unlikely source – one of his former students, a boy named Jake.

"Hey, Mr. Leylin," the message read. "I heard what's been going on, and I just wanted to say that you're doing great. You helped me pass my math class last year, and I know that you're making a real difference in the lives of other students too."

Reading Jake's words brought tears to Ash's eyes. He realized that, in the end, it wasn't the opinions of his colleagues that mattered – it was the impact he was having on his students.

With renewed confidence, Ash decided to stand up for himself and his teaching methods. He called a meeting with the teachers who had been criticizing him and explained how the tablet worked and how it had helped him connect with his students.

To his surprise, several of the teachers were impressed by what he had accomplished. They even asked him to show them how the tablet worked and how they could use it to improve their own teaching.

Ash left the meeting feeling more energized than ever. He had faced down the backlash and come out stronger for it. He knew that there would be more challenges to come, but he was ready to face them head-on, armed with the power of teaching and the knowledge that he was making a real difference in the world.
