“Answer it…” I whispered as I walked back and forth while biting my nails. It’s only ringing. I stopped after five missed calls.
“Wait, why am I calling him?” I asked myself. “I have nothing to say though. Wait, I have! Yes, I have! I will ask what our next plan is. Right, we should plan this together.”
It’s been 2 hours but there was still no sign of him. He didn’t call back. I started to get irritated. I dialed Nikki’s number.
“Is it the correct number? Are you sure?” I asked immediately before Nikki could even say something.
“M-ma’am? What number?”
“Mark’s number on the file that you gave me.”
“Yes, Ma’am, that’s his current numb-”
“Then why is he not answering his phone!” I shouted in irritation.
“U-uhm, Ma’am, I saw him go out a while ago. I think that was 2 hours ago.” Nikki said.
“Oh, really? Okay, then.” I said and ended the call.
