The office of Justus Maxduff was very calm. It always was, but this time with a unique difference. He could not understand why a young man like Terry should get on the bad side of life and struggles for survival.
He had heard the amazing story of Terry but wanted to get some more clarifications, perhaps still very perturbed by the trills the story carried.
He cleared his throat and fixed his gaze on Terry.
It was obvious; he had not meant Terry before neither was he a member of his church. He had learned to exercise enough caution to talk with strangers. He looked at him in sympathy, but with eyes full of suspicion. He tried hard to conceal it.
