As I stared down the sorcerer, my heart raced with determination. All that mattered now was rescuing our friends and stopping his twisted plans for the storybook realm.
Suddenly, the Narrator chimed in, their voice gravely serious. "Upon this stage of fate's design, a confrontation most dire unfolds between our heroes and villainous sorcerer."
But then, as if remembering themselves, they quickly shifted gears. "That said, I can't help but feel like we might be able to resolve all of this with a good old-fashioned dance-off? No? Just me?"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the Narrator's attempt at humor amidst such tension, but it didn't deter me from my purpose.
The sorcerer appeared unfazed by the Narrator's banter as he brought out Seraphina, who was bound by his magic and unable to speak. He smirked, letting us know he had every advantage over us.
