I finally woke up, feeling refreshed and alive. The weight of sickness had lifted, and I could finally breathe in the fresh air. Excitement filled me as I quickly got out of bed and prepared myself for the day ahead.
With renewed energy, I got dressed and gathered my school supplies. I was determined to make the most of the day and catch up on everything I had missed during my absence. It felt great to be back on my feet.
I walk down the stairs and found Nazuna in the kitchen, busy with cooking. "Good morning, Nazuna."
"Morning, Onii-chan. How are you feeling?"
"I feel full of energy... maybe a bit too much."
"That's great. Finally, I can take a break."
"I appreciate you taking care of me, Nazuna." I took a seat at the dining table. "By the way, I had the strangest dream just now. The Lucky Star Idols were in my bedroom! It was quite an unusual and... ahem, interesting dream."
Nazuna straightened up, turning to me slowly. "T-That's... that's good to hear."
"Eh? Normally, you would get jealous or assume something..."
"R-Really? Ahahaha~"
After our brief conversation, Nazuna served breakfast on the table. She sat down and enjoyed the meal together.
As we finished eating, I got up from the table and picked up my backpack. "Well, I should head to school now. Thanks again, Nazuna."
She smiled and nodded. "No problem, Onii-chan. Take care and have a good day at school."
I waved goodbye to Nazuna and stepped out of the house, greeted by the warm rays of the morning sun. The weather was pleasant as I made my way toward school, enjoying the gentle breeze and the sights and sounds of the neighborhood.
The familiar path to school brought a sense of comfort and familiarity, I couldn't help but feel optimistic about the day ahead. I walked with a spring in my step, ready to tackle whatever challenges awaited me at school.
"Let's do this...!"
But then... as I entered the classroom and made my way to my seat, I couldn't help but notice a familiar feeling of timidity washing over me. Despite feeling fine earlier, it seemed like my newfound confidence had faded away.
I took a deep breath and tried to shake off the self-doubt that was creeping in. Perhaps it was just the lingering effects of my recent illness, I thought to myself.
Then I noticed the Lucky Star idols entering the classroom, and Sakura waved at me with a cheerful smile. "I see you've recovered," she said.
I nodded in response.
"Good, good," she continued.
Yui seemed like she wanted to say something, but I couldn't quite catch her words. Meanwhile, Aoi was looking at me with a slight blush on her cheeks. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on with them, but I decided to focus on the day ahead and put aside my own questions for now.
Lunch break finally started, I got up from my seat, intending to leave the classroom. However, Aoi stood up and grabbed my shoulder, catching my attention. "Kousei-kun," she called out.
I turned to her, surprised by her serious gaze. "Aoi-san? What's wrong?"
She hesitated for a moment before asking, "Can we talk somewhere else?"
I was taken aback by her request, and Sakura accidentally dropped her chopsticks upon noticing the interaction between Aoi and me. Yui also turned her attention toward us.
"Sure... but why?"
Aoi glanced around the classroom, her gaze landing on Sakura and Yui. She shook her head subtly and then leaned closer to me. "We can't talk here... for your sake," she whispered.
Eh? For my sake?
Surprised by her words, I whispered back, "I see... Then, shall we go to the rooftop?"
Her ears turned red as she blushed slightly. "Y-Yeah... Let's go."
We both nodded in agreement and left the classroom, making our way to the rooftop
As we reached the rooftop, I closed the door behind us and turned to face Aoi. She met my gaze with a serious expression, and my heart started racing.
Is she about to confess her feelings to me?
However, instead of confessing, she let out a sigh and spoke. "Kousei-kun... Are you... Kou-kun?"
Her question caught me off guard, and my eyes widened in surprise.
Huh...!?
