"So what do you want to try next, I mean nine different powers is a lot, and there's only ten months till the UA entrance exam." Bakugo grinned as he held up the watch "Well, I want to try a form that caught my interest, which is what I wanted to test at home yesterday, but the watch glitched." Bakugo scrolled the watches selection finding the eyeless face again.
Izuku leaned in to get a closer look "I can see why you would choose this one, where's its eyes?" Bakugo slid open the watches face, Izuku took a couple of steps back, holding his arms up to shield his eyes from the flash of light "I guess it's time to find out." Bakugo slammed down on the watch. "Well, at least the watch go it right, seemingly." Izuku looked at the large quadrupedal, orange-furred, dog-like beast with no nose, eyes, or ears for the matter, though he did wonder what the gills on his morphed friends neck was for, was it amphibious? "So how can you even hear me?" Izuku was a little surprised when instead of speaking normally, Bakugo replied in some growls, even when Izuku asked to repeat what he said. The both of them realized at that moment that in this form, Bakugo couldn't speak and only be able to make animalistic noises.
"We'll have to wait for the watch to time out, until then we'll just have test out this form." They spent the next ten minutes they spent the 10 minutes trying their hardest what this form could do, lasers was a no go, apparently the gills aren't for amphibious purposes since Bakugo nearly drowned when he tried to swim in the ocean, though he was quiet agile given his size, and his claws could tear through the metal of the vehicals, Izuku also noticed that his beastial friend always knew where he was, at first he though it was because Bakugo could hear him but when he tried staying silent when he noticed and try to distract him by throwing a can in the opposite direction, Bakugo still knew where he was.
When Bakugo turned back to normal he stretched has he got up "Ok, lets try to avoid that as much as we can." Izuku finished his notes but there was one thing that he couldn't wrap his head around "Hey Kacchan, um, how did you know where I was? The only thing I can think of is that the gills on your neck were some type of sensory organ." Bakugo explained that he smelt the greenette, though after his dip in the ocean it did take a bit more effort to get Izukus scent past the scent of wet dog and sea salt, "So that's it, those sensory organs are your nostrils, not only that but they seem to be good as a dogs, probably better." Izuku added the newest entry into the notebook deciding to name the transformation, like some hero's with transformation-type quirks do, naming it Wildmutt. Though there was something scratching at the back of Izuku's mind, were these transformations really based on quirks? Sure there are many quirks that made people look drastically different either by mutation or transformation, but Bakugo's just felt off, almost otherworldly, Though Izuku just chalked it up to seeing his blonde friend with powers.
"Holy shit Ryu, look at this!" With a huge smile on his face, Bakugo gave Izuku his phone that displayed a news article that read 'Pre-Quirk Era Manga and Comic's On Sale At Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall This Saturday' "Trigun, Naruto, Chainsaw Man, Fire Force! We have to go tomorrow, I'm still missing some volumes!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Absolutly not! You know I hate it when YOUR manga are scattered around in the apartment, I don't need any new ones to pick up off the floor!" The humanoid rat look at the green-eyed girl that sat across from him, "Come on Adrian, you know how hard it is to find pre-quirk manga." She pouted as took a sip from her boba tea "I'm only missing a couple of volumes of One Piece" the girl could feel Adrian's gaze going right through her "and HunterxHunter, and a couple more series." Adrian sighed "Fine, we'll go just don't make me regret it, but as payment you're going to have to help me with my entrance exam, got it." The girl leapt out of her seat in joy "Deal! thank you Adrian, you know your the best sometimes." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the day, Saturday, when Bakugo and Izuku go and buy some classic manga from Kiyashi Ward Shopping mall, a huge mall with so many stores that you can get almost anything, it's so huge that some company's rent parts of the building. The mall itself is packed with people and some of them look foreign, possibly because of the sale of pre-quirk manga, or tourist, but that wasn't the pairs focus. In one of the book stores, the two looked through manga though one was in a dilemma "Demon Slayer or Parasyte. Damn I don't know what to choose, they're both good in their own right!" Bakugo cried, Izuku looked at the books that the red-eyed teen held in his hands "Well why can't you get both?" Bakugo turned towards the greenette with a saddened look and whined "Because my allowance can only get me four volumes of manga during this sale" Bakugo pointed to the three books tucked into his arm "and I already decided on three others." "Well which one do you like more, whichever one it is that should be the one you get." Bakugo sighed, Izuku was right but he decided to get the latter manga, it's the shorter series anyway, the two left with their purchases and went down on the escalator "Hey, what's going on over there?" Izuku pointed at a crowd of people gathered around a table, standing right outside the crowd and gathering people in was a humanoid rat with a megaphone "Come one come all, win 100,000 yen if you beat the near-unbeatable arm wrestling girl for just the low low price of 1,000 yen, you can even try with your quirk!"
The two maneuvered their way through the crowd towards the center towards the opening, where two black-haired teens arm wrestled, a boy and a girl, the boy had medium-length hair and black eyes with and intense look on his face gritting his sharp teeth and the arm he was using for the match looked rigid and hard like a rock, while his opponent, a athletic green-eyed girl with a ponytail, looked like she was faking her effort "You know, you could just back down." The other teen shook his head "Never! A true man never gives up!" "Wow, that girl is pretty strong, and that guys quirk seems pretty useful." Izuku was already taking notes in his hero notebook as he watch the match take place while the gears in Bakugo's head were turning "Hey this is a good chance to test a new quirk from the watch." Izuku looked at his friend "You sure, I mean what if the watch glitches and you turn into Wildmutt, or Upchuck?" Bakugo looked at the greenette slightly confused "Oh um, I decided to name your forms, Upchuck's the little green guy and Wildmutt is the orange dog-like form you're turned into yesterday.", Bakugo deadpans, emitting an aura of sarcasm "Wow, what great names." Izuku looked down at the ground defeated "I knew it." That was when they both heard a familiar voice.
"Hey I didn't know you brought Izuku Katsuki." Bakugo and Izuku turned around to face the source of the voice "Uncle Max, What the hell are you doing here?!" Max bellowed out a loud, hearty laugh "Oh so now you notice me, 'bout an hour ago you ignored me, you know just for that I should ignore you but I'm not because that'll destroy me to ignore my nephew." A bell rung and they looked at the arm wrestling match that just ended, the boy walking away with his head hung low in defeat "What was that boy thinking, Alissa is way to strong for him." Izuku inquired "You know her mister Tennyson?" Max nodded "Well of course I do, her and her rat friend are my employees."
Alissa noticed the trio and clapped ready to disappoint the crowd "Alright people, we're closing up now, see you next week!" and over the next ten minutes the crowd dispersed with only Bakugo, Izuku, Max, Alissa, and Adrian "Suprised to see you here mister Tennyson, Oh is this you nephew." Alissa ran over and excitedly shook Bakugo and Izuku's hands "I'm Alissa, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

Meanwhile in the a person wearing a red hooded jacket stood outside a cafè, holding a smoothie, he needed a break from a already stressful day though it seemed fate had other plans, "Well well well, what do we have here, a punching bag?" A group of middle schoolers surrounded the person, all sneering at him, the black-haired leader of the group grabbed the person by the collar "It's a good thing your here Bakugo, I needed to let off some steam." He growled
'Bakugo' internally chuckled, so they thought he was someone else, makes sense since it's something that he couldn't really fix even with his beyond-superhuman intellect "How pathetic can you humans get." He mumbled, the black-haired student gripped the collar tighter "What'd you say?!" A puff of fire escaped his mouth as to threaten 'Bakugo' sneered "I said let go of your superior." The black-haired teen felt something snap, he went in for a punch to the stomach but the blonde dropped his smoothie and caught the incoming fist though that didn't surprise him, what happened next did and everyone in the group couldn't believe it.
'Bakugo' raised a open palm and a few sparks popped before his palm exploded, blinding the group leader and making him let 'Bakugo' go.
"What the hell was that?!"
"did he just use a quirk?! Impossible!"
'Bakugo' patted himself down internally cheering 'it works, the New Ultimatrix brought out this body's full potential! Now onto step two.' After that moment, 'Bakugo' and Bakugo were left alone, Bakugo never knowing what had happened on that day at the mall.
