Chapter 2 - Renegade Samurai 2

Miyamoto Hideyoshi of course did not intend to be a normal father, as the boy had no family, he intended to raise him as a samurai, like himself, as Paul had anger and savagery as a child, he would be a powerful fighter if taught well.

The local police also knew that Miyamoto Hideyoshi would not be a normal father, but they wanted to get rid of Paul quickly, so they allowed Miyamoto Hideyoshi to raise him. sorry for him.

"Boy, I'm not doing charity by taking care of you, I know you're not a normal child, I'll adopt you if your family doesn't show up, but I won't be your father but your master, you'll learn to be a samurai, like me and train every day." Said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

"Since I don't consider you a normal child, I will only call you by your name from now on, you will not earn my last name, if one day I recognize your abilities I will give my last name to you." Said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

Paul just agreed, he learned that if he tried to remember things his head would hurt, so he gave up trying to remember, he would live and train with Miyamoto Hideyoshi, for some reason he got excited when he found out he was going to learn to be a samurai.

So in the next few weeks, Paul's training started, the police couldn't find Paul's family and so they created a new document for him in Japan, now Paul was Japanese and his adoptive father was Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was satisfied with Paul's training, just as he expected, Paul was not a normal child and he didn't complain about the training and he didn't want to go out to play with other children.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi had a house on Mount Fuji and he had his own blacksmith shop to create his Katanas and do the maintenance too, Miyamoto Hideyoshi also trained Paul in martial arts and helped him train to improve his strength.

"You learn very quickly, Paul. In a few years, you can be considered a samurai apprentice. I hope the vampires wait for you to be prepared when they appear," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

"Vampires? Do they exist?" said Paul, putting his hands on his head.

It seemed that hearing the word vampire brought up some memories for Paul. He avoided remembering things because his head hurt, so he quickly focused on listening to his master. Miyamoto Hideyoshi had gotten used to Paul's headaches and continued to explain.

"Yes, vampires do exist. I myself killed two of them with my Katana. At that time, the police fired several shots at the vampires, and they dodged dozens of bullets. The vampires killed two police officers before I cut off their heads, and they died," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

"If you encounter one in the future, don't waste time. Look for an opportunity to cut off their head with your Katana. They are much faster than us, but they underestimate us, so you will have the opportunity before they kill you," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

"I understand," said Paul.

Knowing that vampires existed and that he would have to face them someday as a samurai, Paul put more effort into his training. Paul didn't go to school like other normal children and also didn't go out to play. He only trained.

Soon, three years passed. Miyamoto Hideyoshi wouldn't say it, but after spending so many years with Paul, he had grown to like the boy. He had always wanted a son, but with the life he had, his wife could die because of him or become a widow quickly, so he gave up on that.

But fate had given him a son. Paul was obedient and not like other children. He learned quickly and was talented. He was like the son Miyamoto Hideyoshi had always dreamed of having.

After spending years with Paul, Miyamoto Hideyoshi would occasionally go to the city with him to buy things that Paul liked to eat and even bought some clothes for Paul with the money he had saved.

Paul's birthday was unknown, so they celebrated the next year whenever the day came that Miyamoto Hideyoshi found him at Mount Fuji. This year's birthday was special for Miyamoto Hideyoshi because, in the last few months, he had been finishing the Katana that he would give to Paul.

Thus, Paul, who already had great skills with the Katana compared to some less talented samurais, would officially become an apprentice samurai. Miyamoto Hideyoshi didn't praise Paul too much so he wouldn't become arrogant, but he was very proud of his apprentice's talent.

"Paul, enough with the training, today is your birthday, I've prepared some meat for us," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

Normally, Japanese people did not celebrate their birthday on the day they were born, but on New Year's Day. As Miyamoto Hideyoshi knew that Paul was Western, he would buy rice cakes and sukiyaki.

Paul was happy to hear that they would be eating sukiyaki and went to take a bath. Afterward, he sat down with Miyamoto Hideyoshi to eat sukiyaki and rice cakes. He knew that Miyamoto Hideyoshi had prepared it just for his birthday and was happy with his master's care.

After they ate, the two of them began to drink tea that Miyamoto Hideyoshi had made. He was thinking about how to give the Katana to Paul. After all, it was a gift, but at the same time, it was a recognition of Paul's training.

"Paul, it's been three years since I found you. Since then, you have dedicated yourself to training every day. I am proud of you. Today, on your birthday, I recognize that you are officially an apprentice samurai," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi as he gave the Katana to Paul.

Paul took the Katana and looked at it for a while. It was a beautiful Katana, similar to his master's. The handle had some red details, and the scabbard was all black for him to wear the Katana on his waist.

"I taught you how to take care of your weapon over the last few years, and even how to create one. So I hope to see it looking new until you have to use it," said Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

"Thank you, master. This is the best gift I've ever received in my life. I swear to fight with courage using this Katana in the future," said Paul, bowing to Miyamoto Hideyoshi.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was proud and happy to see Paul emotional and receiving his Katana. He remembered when he received his first Katana, his master was already old when he did it, and he died a few years later.
