As I traveled through the enchanted forest, I grumbled about how I had got myself into this mess. It wasn't like I was really expecting to have to do less, but it would be nice if people could be just a bit more forthcoming about things. And then there was the fact that she didn't even know what this creature was!
"Not that I needed any more excitement in my life," I muttered to myself, pushing aside a branch blocking my path. It snapped back into place behind me, almost as if the forest itself had a mind of its own.
