As we continued through Tarnhelm, every nerve in my body screamed at me to charge headfirst into the castle and engage the Verse. My muscles tensed and twitched, demanding action, but I fought them with all my might. It was a brutal, internal battle, and every step felt like an agonizing eternity.
I could not even speak as I took each step like some lurching monster with every muscle clenched. All I could do was focus on getting away from the castle.
Once we were outside of the Tarnhelm, I gasped as the bloodlust and muscle spasms stopped. I collapsed on the ground panting, and Elara rushed to my side.
"If Fiona was here, she would be proud of you, I am sure, but are you really okay with this?" Elara asked, but I knew it was Zulu.
