Before you start reading. Don't get your hopes up. I will probably drop this sooner or later.

Oliver stood up from his desk at the end of class and gathered all his books before leaving. He was only a few minutes away from his apartment, so it didn't take long to get there. Unlocking the door, he stepped inside. Nearly three weeks after moving in, it already felt like home. Leaving his bag near the couch, he made himself dinner, which consisted of noodles. While his noodles were boiling, he walked to his bedroom and retrieved a notebook with the text "Preparation" written on it. Oliver had worked on this notebook for years. Whenever he could think of a situation, he would make notes about how to handle it, such as escaping a big corporation or underground group. As a result, he had saved himself several times over the years by always being prepared in case anything went wrong.
This particular book contained notes regarding different types of apocalypses that may happen one day: nuclear war, asteroid strike, plague outbreak, alien invasion, zombie apocalypse... The list goes on forever! His goal wasn't just to survive them but also thrive once on them. For instance; if zombies took over the world, you wouldn't want your food supply to be limited because everything's gone rotten. In order not to starve yourself out, you should learn how to grow plants using hydroponics and aquaponics systems. That way, even without soil and sunlight, you'll have plenty of fresh produce available.
He flipped through some pages until he found what he needed. It said something along the lines of:
"In a post-apocalyptic scenario where most people are dead due to disease or starvation, those who still remain will fight each other for resources."
The next page read:
"I need to prepare now in order to stay alive during the worst possible circumstances. You don't know when or if these things might happen, therefore it makes sense to prepare for every eventuality."
After reading the whole chapter, he wrote down a few more tips on how to stay safe and healthy in a future apocalyptic event. By doing so, it increased his chances of survival dramatically. However, Oliver knew that no matter how hard he tried to protect himself against death, nothing would ever guarantee him safety 100% of the time. No matter what happens, we're never truly protected. There will always be risks involved in life, especially when it comes to our health. If you want to live longer, then do everything within your power to prevent illness from happening in the first place.
For example, if you smoke cigarettes, stop immediately! Not only does smoking increase your risk of cancer, heart attacks, strokes, emphysema, etc., but it can cause premature aging too. Smoking causes wrinkles around your eyes and mouth, making you look much older than your age. On top of that, it increases the risk of getting lung diseases and various forms of cancer.
It's best to avoid unhealthy habits altogether, such as drinking alcohol, eating junk foods, taking drugs, and excessive partying. These activities can lead to serious problems later in life, including addiction, liver damage, brain deterioration, and many others.
When you drink too much alcohol, it affects your judgment and ability to drive safely. Even though it's legal to drink in certain countries, driving under influence is dangerous.
If you decide to party, limit your intake of drinks per night. Make sure that you eat enough beforehand to keep you going throughout the day. Also, make sure to bring water bottles everywhere you go, since dehydration leads to fatigue and lack of focus.
Don't let anyone pressure you into trying new substances either, such as ecstasy or cocaine. They both contain harmful chemicals that affect your mental state. When taken regularly, they can easily destroy your personality.
There are numerous ways to improve your overall health. First off, start exercising daily. This doesn't mean hitting the gym five days a week. Instead, try walking to work instead of catching the bus.
Exercising helps release hormones that boost your mood, strengthen your bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, skin, hair, nails, and internal organs. Furthermore, it prevents chronic illnesses, reduces stress levels, improves blood circulation, and strengthens your immune system. Exercise has countless benefits.
Another great thing to do is meditate. Meditation helps clear your mind and relaxes your body. Try sitting somewhere quiet where nobody else can disturb you. Close your eyes and breathe deeply while focusing on your breathing. After a short period of practice, you'll find it easier to control your thoughts and emotions.
Considering Oliver was overly cautious, he did all of these things on a daily basis. He ate healthy meals (mostly vegetables), drank lots of fluids, exercised regularly, slept well at night, avoided bad habits, and practiced meditation whenever possible. All of this helped him feel healthier, happier, stronger, and calmer than ever before. Although it seemed like he was always busy, his lifestyle improved his quality of living immensely.
As soon as he finished writing, he put away the pen and closed the notebook. Since he had nothing else to do he was going to go exercise at the gym close by. Before heading out, he grabbed his phone, wallet, keys, and headphones. Then, he headed towards the exit.

Ever since he turned seven, Oliver's father started training him in martial arts. At first, it was just fun, but eventually, it became a passion. He loved practicing karate, kickboxing, Muay Thai, boxing, and self defense. Over the past ten years, Oliver learned a lot of techniques to defend himself. He also received special coaching from professional fighters. Nowadays, he trained almost everyday to maintain his skills.
While working out, he listened to music via his wireless earbuds. After finishing his workout, he decided to visit the supermarket nearby. He wanted to stock up on fruits and veggies so that he'd always have them ready in case of emergencies. With that said, he spent quite a bit of money on groceries. Afterwards, he bought some protein bars for snacks and supplements to help him build muscle mass faster.
On his way back home, he stopped by the pharmacy to buy painkillers, bandages, disinfectant cream, hand sanitizer, antihistamines, cough syrup, antibiotics, and cold medicine. Once again, he spent far too much money on items that weren't strictly necessary, but it gave him peace of mind knowing that he had them. Besides, it's better to spend extra money now rather than regretting it later.
Once home, he unpacked his bags and placed the food in the fridge. Next, he cleaned the house, washed the dishes, changed the sheets, and tidied his room. Finally, he sat down on the sofa with a glass of lemonade and watched TV.
