"The 18-year-old Ryan crumbled under the pressure of the world from that day onward," Lifa said as she similarly looked at Ryan's younger self.
"He wanted to kill himself and end his torment— to close his eyes without ever having to open them again— but couldn't bring himself to do it. He was afraid to die."
"He eventually adapted and became the perfect assistant Andrew wanted— his best friend, his greatest helper."
"He learned to smile even if he didn't want to, to show sympathy to the enemy even if in pain," she said.
