Chapter 2 - Charles get worried

while Charles get ready to carry on his duty in the office, he had with him David, his personal assistant, who later became his friend. Seating to discusse matters with him in the office.

"Is it a crime to love a career woman?" "I have loved Olivia all this time and have spread my roses around her, thinking that she will love me too, but the revised version became a case." He paused and continued, "David, what direction am I to implement in order to wake from this sleep, seeing that she has decided to disgrace the Williams family?" "We didn't see this coming, not even for it to happen on my birthday." He sobbed like a baby.

"I feel your pain, sir, but I think you should give her more time; the young girl is just trying to fulfill her career goal of becoming the first female governor of Alabama," David answered. To Charles, David was all speaking trash, trying to upset him more; he took a close look at him suspiciously. "What else did I need to be wealthy? Mr. William, my father, has given me all it takes to be the richest man on Earth, and I, his son, am going with that." So... she is just trying to go for her career over the love we both share.

They still on Olivia matter, when Deborah knocked at the door. "Yes, come in," answered Charles. She stepped him gently with a file to be signed by Charles, but when Charles set his eyes on her and saw her beauty and smile, he took him 5 minutes before taking his eyes off her. Though Deborah haven't dress in such manner she was that day, to the office ever since she resume work, so sighting her in such manner was as a result of her modesty look. "Woooo, you looked good," said Charles. "Thanks," she replied. "Do you have a hookup today?" He asked out of curiosity. "No, sir, I only have a party to attend tonight; it is the only place I can rid myself of my sorrows." David and Charles became more interested in what she had to say. "What what..." Charles stammered, "What sorrow, and how can I get to be of an help to you?" Deborah quickly remembers how she had raised her son Kingston; who is no exception to what Charles appears to be, beginning from his head to the toes of his feet. "The party isn't for you, sir; you have got all you want in life; trying to be like me is downgrading yourself." She replied him.

Yet, she wasn't okay standing with him, since she had hidden the history of what really bonded them. She promised to speak out at the right time, believing that destiny would surely show itself. "What will be the thought of the masses, seeing me dinning with Mr. William Son? It will be broadcast, thesame way it was when Olivia, refuses his proposal," She speaks from within her. "Hello, young lady," Charles tries to draw her attention back to himself. "Hmmmm," she sounded shocked.

At this point, she agreed to attend the party with him at exactly 10:00 p.m.

Yes, it seems he could get rid of the shock if he applied Deborah's hobby. He then signed the document while she returned to her duty post.

"Does it mean you want to lean on someone else's hobby to rid yourself of your pains? David, react. "Come on, boss, even if you are to do so, not with your secretary, give yourself some respect as a boss," David sounded bitterly.

Charles' obscure David words: "Where is it written that I should not dine with my secretary or my staff?" Isn't it Mr, William family was disgrace yesterday of which it news goes round as an hamattern fire." He nodded his head as he continued. "I am going to take off my sorrows, the blow Olivia hit on me, so don't think you can stop me." He answered , and probably dressed himself to clear up his desk.

"With all due respect, sir, I insist you don't do this," pleaded David.

Charles pointed at the door. "I think you have overstayed your welcome and limit, use the door now," he command him. David haven't spent an hour before he is told to use the door.

12 hours later

It is time for the party, Deborah. Imagine how she will muster up strength to accompany her boss to the party; she had received calls on several occasions from him asking for a description of where he could pick her up. While they arrived at the party, Deborah thought about being herself, but Charles insisted they both work their way down to the party happily. "Sir, what's this? Aren't you trying to lower your status before others?" "Please, sir, don't do this to yourself." She encourages him. Again, he insisted not to be left alone. Deborah concluded to swallow whatever came as a result of this, even though she was staying with her son father, the love that cause her sorrow during her pregnancy as a result of refusing aborting the baby—a sorrow she ended up enjoying whenever Charles drew closer to her. Now, the music was played, She danced in bed with him, and while dancing, she mistakenly changed to the dancing step she had used to draw his attention at the first time, which led him to go to bed with her. Applying the same step this time around, remind Charles of a lady he had no knowledge about after his one-night stand with her. He waved his thoughts away and danced away his sorrow. They both have fun and smile together, with Deborah trying not to go beyond her limit.

"Where do you get the dancing steps? You dance like a stranger who I met five years ago in California," he asked.

"Like seriously, may be I'm the one," she smiled.

"No, it can't be you, though I can't recall her face because I was almost drunk when I approached her; besides, she isn't looking like you anyway, so let's forget about it." He drew closer to her to know how she got to make parties her hobby, which she uses to dash out her sorrows. "It is a long story, sir, and I think it is already dark; we have to leave now, before the day breaks upon us, and again, we have much on our desk to work on in the office," she hurries, using such a method to skip narrating the history that birthed her Kingston.
