"YOUR DIVINE ALMIGHTY!" Watts Xirquit shouted. His hands were trembling.
Everyone turned to their way. He walked. Harmlessly, silently, and carefully. A noisy step may provoke His Equal. The aura she's giving off is otherworldly, and them lower beings won't be able to withstand it. He stopped when he's in front of her. His knees are feeling weak. He doesn't know where he's pulling his courage to look straight into her eyes. It's so strong. His insides are churning. How could he dare to?
"I-I am glad to see you again. I've been wanting to meet you. I haven't thanked you for what you did before..." Her eyebrows furrowed and tilted her head to the side. The sword over their heads stopped from falling.
"You took pity on me and turned back time. I am deeply ashamed for mistaking it as the God of Time's doing. I don't want you to see me as an ungrateful subject. So, please, let me thank you properly this time even though it's too late."
Their hearts were beating in the same rhythm. Watts, the hero that you are. Always saving them from their doom.
He didn't receive anything from her, so he think that she's waiting for what he's going to do next. So, Watts searched for Wattroid. He stepped in and summoned a gift box on his hands and went down on one knee to hand it to His Equal. The wind untied the ribbon to open it; it lifted the 'gift' inside. It's a tablet, a gadget.
"What's that?" Curiosity calmed her down. The sword went back up and the hole in the sky closes. Her eyes went back to normal. She opened her hands and the wind brought the gadget to her hand.
"It's a gadget. One of my products that I will soon release to the public. I worked with Sir Blaine Steele. I knew that you hate being bored, so I prioritized its production for you. Sir Blaine worked really hard to develop games that will keep you entertained."
Watts gave Wattroid a nod. So, Wattroid pushed the button to open it. Skadi Eira's eyes reflected the vivid colors of the live wallpaper on her tablet.
"W-What is this sorcery? Are you enchanting me? I will kill you!" she hissed at him like a ferocious cat. She's holding on the tablet tight with both ends, pressing the buttons on the side. It enabled the voice AI of her tablet, and it even has an avatar.
"Hello~ Nice to meet you! Are you Her Divine Almighty, Skadi Eira?"
Skadi Eira looked down and squint her eyes on the AI. It jumped close and flashed a happy emoticon.
"Who are you?"
"Me? I am Arie! I am your artificial intelligence companion! Master Watts and Master Blaine programmed me with the latest knowledge about the world and about you! I can do anything you ask me to! And I can guide you in using this gadget, a tablet!"
Skadi Eira suspiciously glared at Watts Xirquit. He smiled at her, relieved that everything has come back to normal.
"Arie, please open a game for His Equal."
"Aye, Master Watts! Loading Jungle Run!"
As the deity gazes upon the tablet for the first time, her star eyes widen with curiosity, intrigued by the glowing screen and the strange symbols dancing across it. With cautious fingers, she tentatively touches the surface, marveling at the responsiveness of the device.
They saw how the ring on her head tingle and twinkle.
As she begins to play "Jungle Run," her excitement grew. With each twist and tilt of the game, she becomes increasingly engrossed. With every successful jump and dodge, she lets out gleeful laughter, delighted by the challenge presented by the game. Her divine presence fills the room with an aura of childlike wonder and joy as she becomes fully immersed in the digital adventure. Time seems to stand still as she loses herself in the thrill of the game, her expression a mix of concentration and pure enjoyment.
They clapped for Watts Xirquit's save. They find enjoyment, too, in watching His Equal immerse herself into the digital world.
When her seat came, with much softer cushions, Celia helped her sit there. Watts sat next to Skadi Eira, on her right. That's when everybody began to settle down once again after leaving the table earlier.
"Do you like the game?" Watts asked. His brother sat next to him.
"Yeah! This is amazing!"
It made him smile. Now is the perfect chance to ask. He's nervous. He crossed his fingers, hoping that it won't anger her like earlier.
"So..." he began. They felt his anxiety and hesitation. "How's the Princess doing? I mean Moon, your friend."
They held their breath.
Skadi Eira chuckled and swiped here and there on the tablet.
"I dunno. Still a depresso because her mud baby Zoddy failed miserably. Mwehe. Should've asked for my help---"
Her smile slowly faded when she realized what she just said.
His heart almost gave out.
She's alive.
"You tricked me." Her teeth gritted at once at Watts, holding the tablet tightly that the LCD starts to turn white, freezing by her ice.
Watts gulped and immediately feigned ignorance.
"I did? But I just asked? Look, you're losing the game,"
"Ah! No! Stupid game!" Her attention went back to it and smack the ice away from it.
"Why... Why didn't you tell anyone? Why did you fool everyone? If she's not dead?"
Skadi Eira stopped once again, her fun is spoiled. She dropped the tablet against the table, letting her ice subside and precipitate.
"Am I obligated to? You killed her. So what if she went into hiding in the Diamond Palace? She'll damn me for exposing it to you, only if she will know. So, what are you waiting for? Go to her and see what happens. She will hate you as much as she will hate me. Now, go to her, little boy. See if you can tame that bitch."
"Please don't call her that." Watts shook his head.
"Oh, but she is. And I can. You're very lucky, honestly. Because she spent her time trying to make her mud baby Zoddy. But you're very unlucky because she got so much worse now that she failed. Imagine, she's so close to her damned family but she didn't do anything yet because she really thought she can bring her son back to life." She challenged, looking at the faces around her with a grin. They are threatened. As they should.
"Do you think you can handle it though?"
Watts Xirquit squinted his eyes, "T-The what?"
Skadi Eira asked Celia for a drink. Celia was quick to attend to her. She sip on the straw of her smoothie, made by Titania of course.
"Her debauchery and infidelity."
That's when his heart finally gave out.
He pushed his chair back, punching his tightening chest, heaving shaky breaths.
"You're doing this to hurt him, don't you?" Franchetti Xerene fumed with her hands balled into fists.
"Bitch, I'm doing him a favor. He should be thanking me for telling him, for informing him---for letting the all of you know. She kept a paramour while married to her husbands. But I won't blame her. There's so many pretty boys in this world. But I have never seen a man."
Ohms angrily left his seat to comfort his brother.
"Y-You're telling me that... That I... I won't be the only one?" He sobbed, his back turned from them.
"You're delusional for thinking that. You should never have fallen for her. Save yourself. There will be no happiness in being with her."
She's serious. Watts Xirquit is a good man, and she doesn't want to see him ruin himself for Azarese. It would be a waste. It would only be yet another tragedy.
"Oh, are you done cooking? Great. Moment of truth!" Skadi Eira clapped and waited for Titania. She served her first, then the ushers gave the food of the rest and more on the table.
The Xirquit brothers returned to their seats. They switched places. Ohms is now sitting right beside His Equal, and they know he's about to do something.
Skadi Eira tasted the luscious foods in front of her with a straight face. Therefore, they couldn't tell if she's enjoying it just like usual or not.
"Is it good?" Ohms asked of nowhere. He flap the napkin open and placed it on his lap.
Skadi Eira gave him a glance.
He smirked before leaning over to reach out his hand to her face. He caressed her cheek first with his thumb, then made it travel down to the corner of her lips to wipe the sauce. He licked his finger after.
Everyone's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
"What are you doing?"
"Seducing you. What do you think? Did it work?"
Skadi Eira has never been so disgusted in her entire life.
"That's so fucking cringey."
His gaze on her deepened.
"I'm trying to make you uncomfortable. Or do you prefer Gerson Liorei to use you?"
"Ohms." His mother called sternly.
Skadi Eira chuckled and licked the corners of her lips.
"Stop, you'd make your mother jealous,"
That wiped the smirk off Ohms' face. Skadi Eira knew in that moment that she won.
"Since we're talking about Gerson Liorei here, that you're trying to make your pass on me, why don't we ask your mother here who fucks better? Him or your father?"
Watts massaged his temples because of how things turned out.
"Ah, I remembered, I copied his mind. It's crazy how everything is almost blurry, in a haze, but everything about her is so vivid. Do you want me to show you how he handled her on bed? So fucking hot."
Voltage Xirquit's grip on the table knife and fork tightened. His jaw is locking tight, keeping it altogether.
She's just provoking them. He shouldn't let it get through him.
"I know she will be your type," she said like a riddle and continued eating. She bit on the juicy meat and let its sauce drip from her mouth, down to her chin, and then her neck.
"Brace yourself, Wattsy. Who knows, your brother might steal your woman from you?" she leaned over and placed one hand beside her mouth to whisper, "She's into hardcore, too. Just like him." And she gave him a wink.
"Please stop." Watts begged miserably. He's going to cry again if she teased him further.
"Hmm, this is so nice. What kind of familiar do you want, Titania? You don't make bad food," she smiled and tilted her head to the side. Celia approahec her with a napkin and wiped the sauce off her neck and mouth.
The Xirquits lost helplessly.
