Watts Xirquit twisted the shower knob to stop the water from pouring. He run his finger through his wet hair and turned around to open the sliding glass door. He stepped out of the shower, pulled a towel and wrapped it around his lower body. He get another towel to dry his body and stepped out of his bathroom.
Elektra Xirquit screamed happily when she saw her brother come out. Spike Xirquit flinched awake and looked around cautiously.
"Wattsy, you're so hot! Kyaaah! I'm so in love! This is why Zoddy is very handsome! Kyaaahh!"
"SHUT UP, ATE!" Spike yelled. He's irritated that she's making so much noise that it interrupted his good sleep.
Elektra kicked him lightly.
"Ya! Don't yell at me! I'm older!"
"Whatever, old hag!" Spike slapped her foot away from him and turned his back to her. He pulled a pillow and placed it between his legs, while the other he's using is between his arms as he rest his head on it at the same time, continuing his sleep.
Watts smiled at his sister and walked to his walk-in-closet. He stopped when he noticed the broken lampshade beside it. He remembered the monster he dreamt about. He shake it off and went inside. Elektra hopped out the bed and followed him.
"Ne, Wattsy, what's that?" she curiously wondered and pointed at the bands around his wrists, arms, and ankles.
Watts looked at his sister and slid the door open of his cabinet. Then, he looked at where she's looking at.
"They're just weights enchanted with magic."
"Oh? Like your vests?"
He smiled at her and searched for what clothes to wear.
"Yes, Ate."
"I want cuddles. Let's cuddle, Wattsy! Even when you're right in front of me, I'm still missing you!"
He took out a set of his favorite comfortable outfit when he's in his office. Sweatpants and stretchable shirt. Not too fit, not too tight. Just enough for him to move around freely.
"Later, Ate. And you should be missing your kids and husband. Are they not looking for you? I haven't seen them for a while. A very long time."
Elektra pouted, "I dunno. They're laying so low that I already forgot that they were among the people Auntie Siofra resurrected. I think they're farming? They're just in the duchy and doing agriculture!"
He scoffed with a small smile on his lips. His sister is truly unbelieving.
"Shall we see them? They arr probably worried. We left them there. They're part of our family. It's not nice to forget about your husband and sons, Ate. Tell Wattroid to take them here."
"Ihhh~~~" Elektra hugged his arm and wiggled.
"Ate," he called, this time, demanding. Afraid to be scolded by her favorite person, she tearfully left him alone. Her shoulders dropped and dawdled out.
He sighed and wore his clothes. When he left his closet, his brother is still sleeping, drooling on his pillow while grinning. Must be dreaming a good dream and he wants to know what it is. He will ask later.
Upon leaving his bedroom, he found his mother and father cooking. His father saw him first. He stood there and looked at his father with a question mark over his head. Voltage Xirquit checked him out from head to toe, judging. Then, he smirked and gave him an approving look. When his wife noticed it, she looked back. And like Elektra, she screamed too, even jumping while clapping her hands. She's holding a knife.
"My Wattsy, you're so hot! Kyaaah! I'm so happy for you! I love squishy Wattsy, but I love that, too! Damn! My pride and joy! My everything!" she ran to her son and locked him in her arms. She had to tiptoe to reach him.
One of the reasons why she married Voltage Xirquit is not just his good looks but also his height. She's so glad that their children got their father's towering height. But it scares her because she look so small when standing side by side with them. She was even mistaken as the daughter and not Elektra.
Watts chuckled and lift his mother. He brought her back to the kitchen and dropped her beside his father.
"Nice bod. Your brother will go feral once he sees you in that," Voltage said, still smirking as he chop the carrots.
"Where is he and King Liorei?"
"Liorei left to check on Lorreign, while Elektra and Ohms left with Wattroid to fetch her sunshines."
Watts drew a worried expression on his face.
"With Kuya? She brought him?"
"She 'forced' him," they corrected with a sigh.
Disaster. There will be a disaster.
While waiting for them, he helped his parents prepare their food. But while making it, something went out from the Blue Portal. A sleek, metallic robot with rounded edges and large, expressive eyes that shimmer with warmth and curiosity. Its compact frame is adorned with colorful panels and LED lights, mostly in pink, that pulse with energy. With graceful movements, it exudes a sense of playfulness and charm, evoking a feeling of affection in those who encounter it.
However, as they see it fly around in circles, making cute, anxious noises, Watts knew something is wrong.
"Serin! I'm here!" He walked to her and opened his hands. Serin landed on his palms. Her face, a screen, showed a 'T^T' expression.
"What's the matter?"
"Master, error. Overheat. Burning!"
Hearing that, Watts immediately went inside his science room. Franchetti Xerene and Voltage did not follow. Everything is functioning well when Watts got in. Serin led him to where the problem is, only to find a small wire sparking. The other droids were panicking around it. Seems like one of them snapped it accidentally.
"Master!" They called all at once and pressed themselves on him when they found him. They all cried.
"Hey, it's alright. It's okay. Jut be careful next time, alright? It's okay," he soothe them and immediately wore gloves to fix the wire.
"Master, sorry! Harmon playing! Harmon snapped wire!" Another girl droid apologized. Yellow is her color.
He smiled at Harmon and gave her headpats.
"Apology accepted. Next time, do it in your play room, alright? That's why I built a playroom for everyone. Be careful always. It's good that I'm here. What if I'm not? I haven't finished the alarm that would notify me in case of emergency when I'm outside."
"Master, Harmon is very sorry~" He smiled at her again and finally did what he must. It's just a wire from a sample. Nothing serious.
"Master, visitors?" Ohm asked with a haughty emoticon on his face. Red is his color.
"Where is Wattroid? Spikey miss Wattroid!" The color green droid asked enthusiastically.
"Master, Volty upgraded himself," the cool one said, and blue is his color.
The Master chuckled and have them in his arms.
"Yes, we have visitors. I will introduce them to everyone later. Wattroid is outside, bringing in more visitors. And Volty, that's very nice to hear. You're amazing."
The others became noisy now that only Volty was praised and he's very smug about it. Everyone bumped him, jealous of him.
"Hey, hey, all of you are amazing, alright? Don't bully Volty. Everyone is amazing!" He cheered them up, making them all smile.
After spending a few minutes with them, he excused himself and left them in the playroom with a promise of coming back with his visitors. His parents only smiled at him and did not ask. As the dishes will soon be done, Watts, using magic, changed the chairs and table in the living room into that for dining. It had flaws. For example, the chairs were of different colors and forms. Some have arm rests, while the others were swivel chairs and monoblock chairs. The table is made of wood with glass layers. He's yet to master his magic.
"What's your magic, Watts?" His father asked curiously and he hoped it will be answered.
"I am not sure yet, Dad," he answered with a sigh of disappointment, "At first, I thought it was just Telekinesis. But then I manifested this, creation by my mind. I can only create objects, though. But I can't wield both properly yet. And I just found out that I can shoot laser beams with my eyes. I don't know how I got these. I'm supposed to have one, right? Like the rest of you."
When Empress Siofra shared her blood to the Earthling, it granted them not just the ability to adapt in the nature of a new world but also superhuman abilities. It's different from what an Ancient possesses, but the superhuman abilities they got suit them, enough to beat an Ancient with far greater abilities and magic than them because they are experienced. Ancients may be powerful, but they are stronger and more powerful than them thanks to their experiences. That's why they are still steps ahead of Ancients. Much intelligent beings and much better in other ways.
"You're amazing, my love," Franchetti Xerene told him sweetly as she walk to the table to place the bowl of rice on it.
"Do you want us to help you? I will let you spar with your Kuya Ohms if you want to. Maybe he will like that, too. We will figure your situation out."
She approached him and took his hands. She rub her thumbs on the bands around his wrists.
"Weights. Enchanted with magic."
"How heavy?"
Watts hesitated at first, "Fifty tons."
Their eyes widened.
"F-Fifty?"
He wryly smiled.
"And another fifty for my vests. Honestly, I made them as part of my routine. Since I don't get much time to train and exercise, so I thought of this kind of way to discipline myself. At first, it was good, so I add more weights into it. I just realized then how destructive I've become when I removed one of my bands. Remember the incident happened at the Academia? When the west building blew up?"
Franchetti Xerene was too stunned to ask what happened, while Voltage Xirquit was left dumbfounded.
"It was me. I removed my right wrist band to adjust its size, since it's too tight. It was new so I'm testing it out. Then when I dropped my hand on the table..." he anxiously scratched his cheek. He wouldn't say what happened next because his parents probably knew what it is.
Students suffered injuries.
Nobody knew it was his fault because he didn't tell anybody. He was afraid, he didn't know that he was that strong already. He didn't mean to do it. He knew he will be blamed for what happened, but he's still afraid. So, he pretended as if he's one of the victims. Until now, the mystery remained unsolved and became the Academia's famous gossip.
"Oh, God. You did that? And you didn't tell us? You're lucky they're immortal! What if they were human!? They would've died!"
Voltage turn the stove off and walked to his wife and son.
"Xerene, it's an accident. He didn't mean to do that,"
"And it's not hard to tell the truth!? Yes, he's to be blamed. Had he confessed, then people will see it the nice way! They will praise him instead rather than ridicule him. He's a Xirquit! And he just told this now!?"
He covered his right wristband in shame and looked away.
"I'm...sorry. I was afraid. I was young; things are still new to me. And I haven't established my name back then. I'm a freshman in high school, and it's not the same when I'm in the elementary. My seniors are scary. I'm scared that they will gang up on me because of what I did, regardless of where I came from."
Franchetti Xerene massaged her nape and walked back and forth.
"Ah, my blood pressure. I don't know what to say. I'm too shock. Goodness, Watts."
Voltage pat his son's head.
"I understand. We'll tell everyone someday. Time will give us a chance to. Cheer up."
Finally, one of the middle children is awake. Spike went out of the room while yawning and stretching his hands. Then, he noticed the silence and put his hands down.
"Uhh, is something wrong?"
His mother rolled his eyes on him and went to the kitchen to put the dishes on the table.
"What? What did I do!?"
