Without disturbing her, he walked beside her and saw her focused face. She was intensely looking at the pot that was filled with green liquid, and some herbs could be seen swirling in it. She had multiple blood threads coming out of her fingers. They dove inside the pot full of liquid and moved from time to time.
This was Ravenna's way of doing alchemy. Instead of just using mental energy, she would use her blood threads to let the herbs essences mix along with each other, making them more potent.
