While climbing the mountains abyss stumbled upon a weak looking man, but abyss did not judge him to be weak as you could tell by the aura radiating around the man that he was not a joke, abyss wondered what this man was doing here all alone, he sunk into his shadow and followed the old man, of course the old man noticed him but decided to do nothing as the boy was too weak to pose a threat to him.
He followed the man all day until he arrived at a cave near the peak of the mountain,abyss was surprised to find so many things inside the cave, it was was like a house inside the cave abyss kept quiet but the old man had enough and he said "how long do you plan on hiding there boy." Abyss was surprised as to how the old man found him out. He came out of his shadow and stood with a frown on his face"how did you know I was there " abyss asked, the old man answered with a laugh" kid I knew you were there from the moment you started following me" then why didn't you attack me Abyss asked.
" Cause your too weak to pose a threat to me, though I suppose you have some level of strength to be able to make it here." the old man said.*I thought I was strong yet this man tells me that I'm too weak to not even threaten him, then I must seek his guidance to grow even stronger so I can avenge my parents* "old man pl... the man cut him off and said "my name is Astra."
Abyss got on his knees and bowed "Then grandpa astra please train me and help me become stronger I beg of you. " Astra raised an eyebrow" oh tell me,why do you want to become stronger. " *abyss thought should I tell him or not* " I want to become stronger so I can avenge my parents who were killed. "
" Revenge at such a young age, I won't help you to become a someone who who is driven by revenge only to cloud your judgement and die early." the old man said," Two years ago when I was just my parents were just six my mother was killed and my father died protecting us both I was forced to grow up quickly and survive at a young, I merely want to take what is mine and yet you deny me that and you would have done the same in my shoes and yet you pretend to be noble in front then forget it I will find some other means of becoming stronger. "
" Stop. "the old man said , abyss could not help but stand still as a fearsome pressure held him in place." I like your resolve boy , one who is not afraid to fight one who shall stare death in the face in order to achieve his goals, from this moment on I shall train to become stronger. " As the pressure on him faded abyss bowed and thanked the old man.
" what is your name boy. " I'm abyss Grandpa astra." he said, "A powerful name for a future prodigy and stop with grandpa just call me astra." Astra went near a sort of bookshelf and took a crystal ball and beckoned abyss to come closer ." This is an affinity stone we will you use it to determine what elemental affinities you have, place your hand upon the stone. "after saying that he put the ball on table and abyss put his hand on it." now channel your mana through it ." Abyss did as told and sent his mana into the ball what happened next stunned the man , the ball glowed in several different colors,abyss possessed affinities for all seven elements.
"Affinities in all seven elements impossible." astra said stunned, "what is this not a common thing." abyss asked at astra's reaction. "Abyss no it's not at most anyone can master up to three elements not all of them at once, your a prodigy in the making I'll make you into a fine warrior my boy. "
The next day astra taught abyss some basic knowledge so in short the are 5 continents which are the Western infernal continent where demons and all dark races live then there's the northern holy continent where Angels live then the southern green continent where elves and beast kin alike live and there's the eastern mortal continent where humans live and then lastly there's the central continent where all the races have equal share in it and all five continents are separated by the Blazing sea which called that because of the many monsters that live in it which makes crossing it impossible and lastly the holy, green and human continents are an alliance against the infernal continent which is stronger enough to hold its own all the other continents.
Since that day astra imparted his knowledge about the state of the continents and taught abyss all he knew about the elements which were Dark, light, fire, lightning, earth, wind, and water he also taught him some non elemental magic so for four years abyss trained in and gained mastery in all seven elements , each the more he trained the more his power grew even old man astra was shocked by abyss's abnormal growth speed perhaps this rapid increase in strength was fueled by his rage and desire to avenge his parents.
Three years later astra imparted some new knowledge to abyss,"abyss it seems there has been some knew developments." Astra muttered, "what is that supposed to mean." abyss asked, it means one year from now you will leave for the rising sun kingdom and enter the newly established eclipse academy which is set to be complete next year, it is a mixed race school where all the different races will attend in order to strengthen the newly formed peace relations between all four continents the academy is located in this human continent far north past this mountain range in the sun kingdom. "astra informed abyss.
" but astra do you think it is wise that I go there, I merely want to avenge my parents not partake in schools. "abyss asked," fool if you wish to avenge your parents then it is by your best interests that you go there so you can get more information on the origins of your parents and find their killers. "astra screamed.
" I see then I shall see to it that I go to this academy when the time comes, thank you for informing of this new development I don't know how to thank but I'll repay your kindness. "abyss said," no need for repayments my son as my name will be written in history for training a future prodigy that is payment enough. "astra said with a smile which is rarely ever seen.
Just like that abyss continued his training for the remaining time but two months before the year ended on evening while outside abyss fainted and when he came he was overcome by a huge thirst he quickly ran back to the cave when he got astra was stunned by abyss's appearance as it wasn't normal his nails grew into claws, his fang elongated and his eyes were so red to the point where the was no white in them he pounced on astra and pinned him to the ground, "abyss what is wrong with you release me this instance" astra screamed but his words didn't get to abyss then a second later abyss bit into his neck and sucked his blood until astra was nothing but a dried husk.
When abyss awoke from his frenzied state he was horrified by the scene in front him astra's body lay lifeless dried if any blood his mouth and eyes were open showing extreme terror then the memory came back to Abyss astra's screams and pleading for abyss to let him go abyss screamed at the top of his lungs "nooooooooooooooooooooo." abyss screamed, all this time he thought was human but couldn't be more wrong he had always wondered why his father's skin was black as the night sky while he was pale as snow it seems abyss was a hybrid between demon and vampire. He spent two whole days lamenting on his actions then on the third day he took astra's body and buried it inside the cave he left and sealed the cave with magic , he would always regret his actions in that cave.
Before leaving he took a spatial ring and some money and then he departed from the cave and left for the sun kingdom north of the mountains though he was sad abyss continued his training every single until he reached the sun kingdom.
