Chapter 13 - Psychokinesis [2]

Take a look at the following magical circle...

...For a brief moment, I was taken aback by the content.

They appeared to be alien records to me.

It's not exactly that, but they disassembled and analyzed the magic circle for [Psychokinesis] stroke by stroke on each page.

To paraphrase, it appeared that the pages were crammed with complex Chinese characters.

"...Sure enough."

Will my [Midas Mind] apply to magic as well?

'Can I comprehend the operation of something so complex?'

Faced with this uncertain situation, I closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes again after flipping a mental "switch."

My vision became blue. The room's lights flickered and blinked like stars.

Amid this world unfolding before me like an Impressionist painting, my sole focus was on the magic book.

My gaze was fixed on the described magical circle. [Midas Mind] was activated at that point.

[Skill: [Midas Mind] has been activated you will be able to maintain this skill until you learn what you want.]

[-10 Mana]

My thoughts were raging. This forced boost swept through my entire body.

So, in addition to improving my hearing and vision, my consciousness increased.

–Levitation: To lift an object from the ground with using your mind.

The magic circle of Levitation appeared in my field of vision, my eyes moved slowly like hell and it grasped every nook and cranny of the magic circle.

[Midas Mind is developing]

Ignoring the notifications, I fully and focused supported my mind in grasping the spell.

Curves and straight lines became entangled, forming what appeared to be a talisman.

Suddenly, a magical structure was built in my mind at the same movement I was pushed out of my concentration by the re-appearing notification.

[You have learned skill: Levitation

Mana: 20 CD: 2 min]

I let out the breath I had been holding back as soon as I stopped saying "Midas Mind." My temples were throbbing, and my eyes were puffy.

'How much time has passed...1 minute? 2minute?'

I glanced at the watch, 'Impossible...'

I couldn't believe what was I seeing, 'Three hours have passed...'

The time was 12:30 PM. When I sat down on this chair it 10:00.

I took a fountain pen from my inner pocket and infused it with mana. Magical power permeated the fountain pen's interior, and with just my will, I made this long, thin pen float.

[Activated skill: Levitation]

[-20 Mana]

[You will be able to maintain this spell until you focus on the levitating object]

"Haa..."

I was only able to keep the pen floating for 1 minute.

This experience was new and exciting, something which you can call...exhilarating.

'Shall I learn another spell...'

–Binding: To keep object/being from moving.

[Skill: [Midas Mind] has been activated you will be able to maintain this skill until you learn what you want.]

[-10 Mana]

After receiving the same notification, the phenomenon began to occur again, but this time I completely forgot about everything and focused solely on the magic circle.

"Haa...Ha...."

My skull feels like it's about to blow up at any moment...

'It's excruciating...'

I crept up to the lavishly presented bed in front of me and rolled onto its plush surface.

5:30

This was the last thing I saw before passing out.

------

When my eyes opened again, a throbbing pain greeted me, 'It's like a hangover...'

I don't know why, but strangely this pain was very familiar to me something you can assume as, intimate.

'Is it because the original Lucas Flynn drinks daily and gets hangover regularly...'

Getting up from the bed, I dragged my body to the dining room, this place which always reeked of steaks strangely fragranced with a sweet smell.

A pair of dumplings appeared before my eyes; far nicer than the sweety drinkers or salty stakes this body was used to.

After chewing a dumpling it finally felt worthy of transmigrating into this world.

Earlier, I didn't notice my surroundings well, now when I rose my eyes an image of an eager-looking girl needing a compliment appeared in front of me.

"How is it? I didn't expect you to eat the dumplings made by me, ignoring the steaks."

As she said, my eyes fell on the steak placed a few inches away from my position.

The girl who sat across me was no other than the pure-hearted Clara.

[-2 Mana]

"Cough..."

Now I wonder, if it would be still correct to call her kindhearted priest. Clara who should be originally become a [Angelic Priest] was now a [Fallen Priest]

"I wonder if this affects her abilities of healing..."

I don't know how nevertheless my mutter reached Clara's ears.

"You don't have to worry...I have tested it out my healing abilities are still the same."

In contrast to my stunned expression, as if she knew this all beforehand, Clara displayed a calm expression.

"Even if you are Anisely Lucas Flynn, there is no way! A person will help another without benefits..."

Taking a little time chew down the sweet dumplings, she said: "What do you want from me, Mr. Lucas."

'This...seems to be a chance...'

I wasn't aware of the situation, to be pierce I was already dumbfounded by how the conversation came to this point.

Nevertheless, my hunch was telling me...'There will not be a better opportunity to bring her to your di de other than this...'

"I want you."

I spotted a slight blush, even if it was for the moment, I was able to see the characteristic of old Clara for a second there.

"What will be back for me?"

'She had definitely transformed into a whole new person in one night...'

"I will offer you a mansion with one like this and prepare for the spell books of Divine magic and with a monthly salary of 60,000 $."

There can't be a better contract an illegal hunter could receive other than this.

"After you get legalized, we can discuss the profit you will receive for each dungeon clearance and Dimension closure..."

A smirk that was completely polar to the one described by the author appeared on her face, "I will accept it."
