Before me lay the enchanting words, revealing the unexpected connection between my arrival here and the novel's system granted to awakening hunters. Both systems had surprisingly fused. But, what was I going to do with this newfound knowledge?

'My status is really messed up, huh.'
Geniuses and so-called "super rookies" had seven skills when they awakened. Even Jay Flynn and Nicole Flynn had eleven and nine skills respectively. But even they didn't possess more than one special skill, except for Kay Siegel, the MC, who had four special skills and fourteen novice skills, making him exceptionally overpowered.
A special skill seemed to signify an understanding of an individual's unique nature.
Knock...Knock...Knock.
A knock sounded outside the door.
"Master, may I come in?"
"Yes."
It was Ana, looking more refreshed than the previous day.
"Master, aren't you going to the hunter association?"
"Should I?"
"Absolutely. It's a way to raise your popularity and change people's perception of you."
"Of course, I'll do it."
'Surely, it will be fun to change the public's perception of who I am.'
But, I began to feel strange. My body felt lighter and stronger than before. My senses were sharper, and I even seemed more handsome.
"What's on my schedule today?"
"Master, did you forget? Starting today, you have to attend the National University of Hunters."
"We've already prepared your favorite car in perfect condition."
"When do classes start?"
"In one hour."
"..."
"Then, let's go."
Ana and I walked together, and I picked the fanciest car from the collection. My mission was to be part of the story, so I decided to be as flashy as possible.
According to my memories, the car was worth $840,000, the latest and fanciest electric car, Zenith.
"I'll drive the car," Ana declared.
I shook my head and quickly claimed the driver's seat. Just three days ago, I couldn't even afford a $20,000 car. I had driven a beat-up, rusty car that was on the verge of breaking down.
Now, I had before me a vehicle that even the richest people in my previous world couldn't enjoy.
"Ah..." I flinched as my hands gripped the steering wheel. The sensation was different, as though it were made of extraordinary material.
Ana gave me a strange look, as if wondering what had happened to me.
"Cough..."
I coughed awkwardly and averted my eyes, then started the engine. The car roared to life without making a sound, and I gently pulled it out of the garage.
My heart raced.
"Get in position," a voice whispered in my ear.
I turned to Ana, puzzled. "Huh?"
She placed her hand near her ear and whispered again, "Destination: NHU."
I hesitated but voiced my thoughts, "Ana, do we really need a bodyguard? We're just going to the university, right?"
She glared at me as if she could kill me with her eyes, and I sealed my lips tight, focusing on the navigation.
As we drove, many people stopped to look at the car. I understood why—it was worth the annual income of an entire district. If anything accidentally touched my car, lives would be in jeopardy.
"Master, don't forget we need to pick up Lady Crystal."
'Shoot! I completely forgot about that!'
Peering at the navigation, I asked, "Are we already past her house, Ana?"
"Hopefully not. Crystal's mansion is just two streets before the university. Please follow the map for the route."
"Alright."
A little later, the soundless engine parked in front of a grand mansion, and the lovely girl I had seen earlier hopped into my car.
"Good morning, Young Master Lucas."
Her cheerful greeting was a pleasant surprise compared to Ana's robotic speech.
"Morning, Zelina. You don't have to add 'young master.' Just call me by my name, and I'll do the same for you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I don't mind."
"Alright, Lucas."
Her face showed excitement, like a cat receiving a treat.
'Is it just me, or does she like saying my name?'
I moved swiftly, and soon, the university came into view. The entrance gate was impressive, adorned with futuristic sculptures and mysterious glyph diagrams.
As we entered the campus, I noticed many people who weren't students. Ardell was the only country with a school for hunters, so it wasn't surprising.
As I reached the campus, men in black suits disembarked from their cars and escorted me.
"Then, I'll head to my class, Lucas."
"Okay, good luck."
"You too, do well... Lucas."
The blushing girl's face was a welcome sight for my eyes, which had been deprived of such sights for too long.
'Is it just me, or does she really like saying my name?'
I walked through the garden and arrived at the main building.
'Imperial Building.'
It was the main structure of the National Hunter's University (NHU), built ten years ago with enormous resources, much of it donated by the Flynn family.
Inside the building, an old man with gray hair awaited me at the entrance.
"Who is he?"
"Master, this is Principal Claude. You've met him a few times before..."
"I see."
Principal Claude's name frequently appeared in the early part of the novel as a villain. He bullied students from poor families and ridiculed them at every opportunity, which made him quite similar to the trash Lucas. They both enjoyed bullying those weaker than themselves, despite the difference in their ages.
"Good morning, Young Master. It's a hot day today, but I'm delighted to see you attending the lecture."
The old man rushed toward me, wiping sweat with a white handkerchief. He laughed heartily.
'I'm here because I have to be, or you can't hoard my money. But don't worry, I have no plans to play along with you today.'
I controlled the urge to split his bald head in two and replied, "Let's go inside. You've been waiting a long time."
"Ah! I was filled with elation and lost track of time. Thank you for your concern, Young Master!"
This old man was currying favors that could penetrate the Earth's inner core.
"Sir, there have been rumors that you've awakened... is it true?"
"News travels fast, huh?"
"I know, right? You're the future of our country, after all. Haha..."
"Is that so." I smiled, masking my
disgust.
'He should have been an actor instead of a university principal. Truly, his acting skills are remarkable.'
"Young Master, let's go!"
After a while, I stood before the lecture hall. The old bastard left me with his scumbag smile, irritating my mood.
'Fortunately, Zelina didn't tag along, sigh...'
"Would you also attend the lecture with me?" I asked Ana, who was still with me.
"Yes."
As she spoke, her body dissipated into the air.
'She truly is powerful. Anyway, I'm glad she's on my side.'
I entered the hall, and the once loud classroom fell silent.
