The classroom was alive with chatter just moments ago, but as soon as they sensed my presence, a silence fell over the room.
"Hey! What's he doing here? Didn't he drop out of college?"
As I swiftly pulled the chair from the table and took my seat, whispers among the students filled my ears.
"Yeah, just looking at his face... well, he's certainly gorgeous, but I get this weird feeling whenever I see him."
I naturally tuned out their comments as I scanned the room with my eyes.
The classroom was massive, almost the size of a concert hall, designed to be the perfect environment for studying. State-of-the-art technology maintained the temperature and humidity at the optimal levels.
'I could comfortably sleep here if I had my lovely blanket...'
I was surprised to see a tablet at each desk, preloaded with the lesson material. It seemed like a symbol of the students' affluence since the tablets had no security locks.
Even though I had chosen a seat in the back corner, where I was least likely to be noticed, their gazes remained fixed on me from the moment I entered the room.
'It's making me uneasy...'
Just as an angel would descend from the sky, the professor entered the room at the perfect moment.
After noticing the eerily quiet atmosphere, his eyes followed his students' gazes and landed on... me.
"…Pfft!!"
The sip of water he had just taken sprayed out of his mouth, and he quickly wiped his mouth before continuing to lecture with a trembling voice.
His nervousness was palpable, and no matter who he was, lecturing one of the empire's prodigies (or trash) was clearly taking a toll on him.
'One word from me, and he's fired...'
Not only him, but his wife and whole family would also be brought to the streets, as far as my memory served. He wasn't the kind to forgive tardiness, even if his pupil was a celebrity, but Lucas Flynn was an exception.
'I guess living a normal university life will be difficult for me...'
A sigh escaped me unintentionally. After all, I didn't have many expectations before entering the university.
My mind was occupied with plans to avoid my tragic fate. Actively participating as a student in the university didn't seem feasible at the moment.
Initially, the plan was to show my face occasionally, but I had no idea it would cause so much trouble and anxiety for others.
Setting that aside, the lecture was surprisingly interesting. I managed to grasp the professor's explanation of how ancient glyphs and the constellations' gifts worked together.
It was a blend of logic and fact, as if the people in this realm possessed talents straight out of martial arts and wizarding novels.
'This is intriguing...'
However, every time I glanced at the professor, he stumbled over his words nervously.
'I feel sorry for him...'
Despite the fact that there was still time left in the lecture, the lecturer tried to conclude the class as quickly as possible.
The students praised the professor for being concise, especially in dealing with my presence for over two hours.
He usually extended lessons beyond the scheduled time due to his enthusiasm for the subject, but today was different.
"… If... if there are no questions... then today's lesson will end..."
"Professor, excuse me."
To my surprise, even in this situation, a student rose from her seat to seek clarification.
I turned my head to catch a glimpse of her face. She was beautiful, and she resembled Ana in some way.
Her beauty was somewhat hidden beneath her long hair and glasses, but it took only a fleeting glance to recognize her graceful elegance.
I was aware that a character with her appearance played a significant role in the plot, especially when it came to female characters. The female student seemed to be no exception. Her face seemed to scream of importance.
