As the man struggled to catch his breath, he looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings. He was in a barren land, with twisted trees and dead vegetation. The air was heavy with the stench of decay and something else, something he couldn't quite place. Suddenly, he heard a loud growling noise and looked down to see a group of grotesque creatures with sharp teeth and claws, closing in on him.
Without thinking, the man unsheathed his sword and prepared to fight. The creatures were quick and nimble, but the man was just as fast. He swung his sword, slicing through the air and cutting the creatures down one by one. However, as he continued to fight, he realized that these creatures were not wild animals, but rather the pets of the demons that ruled this land.
As the last creature fell, the man looked up to see a group of demons staring at him with curiosity. They were unlike any demons he had ever seen before, with dark skin, glowing red eyes, and large, leathery wings. The largest demon stepped forward, towering over the man. "Who are you, human?" the demon demanded.
The man stood up straight, gripping his sword tightly. "I am just a traveler, lost in this land," he said cautiously. "I meant no harm."
The demon studied him for a moment before nodding. "You are the one from the prophecy," the demon said. "The one who is destined to become the Demon King."
The man was taken aback by the demon's words. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said, confusion and fear creeping into his voice.
The demon chuckled. "Don't play dumb, human. We have been waiting for you for a long time. The prophecy states that a human will come to this land, and he will be the one to unite all the demon tribes and lead them to victory against our enemies."
The man was still hesitant. He had never heard of such a prophecy, and he didn't know anything about leading a demon army. But he couldn't deny that the idea of power and control over the demons was tempting. He decided to play along for now.
"And what if I refuse?" he asked, trying to sound confident.
The demon's expression turned serious. "Then you will die," he said plainly. "We don't take kindly to those who refuse their destiny."
The man weighed his options. He could try to fight his way out, but that would be suicide. He could try to negotiate, but he had nothing to offer. In the end, he decided to go along with the demons and see where this prophecy would lead him. Maybe, just maybe, he could use this opportunity to his advantage.
