the world only had one continent and was a place full of wonders, where humans had deep connections with nature and animals through which they were able to yield energy called magic. All living things lived peacefully for thousands of years until one day, one corrupted human began poisoning others with his ideas.
He believed that humans were superior beings and should rule the world, tipping off the balance and creating a hierarchy between all living things on earth. Greed and hunger for power were his driving emotions and as the world fell into chaos, he became known as the greatest evil and was named Asmodeus.
To Asmodeus` dismay, his cruelty impacted the link between humans, nature, and animals which ultimately lessened the magical abilities humans had. Asmodeus grew jealous of those who were able to keep their magic called enchanters and started hunting them down. If he were to lose his powers no one was allowed to have them either.
After years of suppression, death, and suffering a small group of survivors, led by Salomon the King of Piece, started revolting against Asmodeus starting 500 years of war. Many lives were lost on both sides and in search of a way to destroy Asmodeus, Salomon found a scripture of a prophecy.
The prophecy declared that one day there will be an enchantress born stronger than any before her who will heal the land and recreate the balance.
Even though Salomon went to great lengths to keep the scripture a secret Asmodeus was able to find out about it and started his relentless chase for enchantresses which is why parents started to keep their daughters who were born with magic a secret.
No one knows how the war ended exactly but it is said that Salomon had finally discovered a way to demolish Asmodeus and they fought to both their deaths. Although many followers from both sides still believe their masters to be alive, nobody heard from them ever since.
After Salomon and Asmodeus disappeared, the people divided themselves into five different groups who had diverse beliefs. They each then chose one family to lead and so the five kingdoms Creus, Rodea, Teon, Lavia, and Zeles were created. Creus, Rodea, and Teon are separated from the Lavia and Zeles nations by the wasteland also called Helveda.
Helveda is a vast land with almost no water, plants, or living creatures, hence no kingdom decided to establish itself there. Legend has it that it was the result of the fight between Asmodeus and Salomon and that their bodies still lay somewhere there in the trenches.
Today, a thousand years after the war people have long forgotten about the prophecy. As for Salomon and Asmodeus, their story has become folklore. Magic has almost been extinct and the ones still yielding it, hide it.
