Altair was in a rather foul mood for the remainder of the day, and it quite showed for every pathetic man that Ashara had presented to him; he had practically bitten the heads off of them. That was especially so for the Ten Young Masters, so willing to share one woman. By the time he was done, every one of them was on their knees begging for forgiveness. Some even had the gall to cry in front of him as if that would do something.
By evening, Altair was sick of thinking about the similarities between him and the Vale King as if they were any. Raven had left him to his devices, smiling when they passed one another in the hall. He certainly had to teach the girl a good lesson.
He returned to his private quarters just in time to see the great golden ball of sunlight creaking down into the horizon, peeking through the terrace to shroud his room in shadows.
