Hailey took a step back, her eyes filled with both fear and determination. She knew she had to convince Alen of Quinn's existence, but she also understood the danger of provoking him further. "I know this is hard for you to believe, Alen," she began cautiously, "but Quinn is alive."
Alen's brows furrowed as he struggled to comprehend Hailey's words. If Quinn was truly alive, why hadn't he come forward? Why hadn't he reached out to him? These questions raced through his mind, fueling his skepticism.
His thoughts then shifted back to the betrayal he had experienced at the hands of the great hero Jack. The memory of Jack informing him about Quinn's death before subjecting him and other heroes to torture resurfaced in his mind. Alen couldn't deny that Jack had no reason to lie; he wanted Alen to suffer, but that didn't mean what he said wasn't true.
