"So, let me get this straight. You're name is Blake Alderwolf and not Blake Summers." Brandon asked
"Yes."
"And you came without permission from your father to fight daemon."
"Yes."
"Wow," Brandon exclaimed, "Then if you really wanted to get away from your father, then why here? Your father literally is in charge of this area."
"One is that my uncle directed me here. Two, if I did want to go to the other bases, the Vlazerncroft guy and Lionharte guy would have alerted my dad. So there's that."
"You could have just met up with an inquisitor and worked under him," Rachel said.
Blake looked at her, "Now that I think about it, yeah...I should have."
"Ah well, its all in the past, I guess." Brandon said, "Now HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO STAND IN THE RAIN, SHINO!"
"As long as I want." Shino said, sipping at his fruit box under his umbrella.
"What the hell is this training for anyway?" Rachel asked.
"We need you guys to learn how to fight under extreme conditions. Rain is one of them. Never a better time like now."
"I'm gonna catch a cold." Brandon said, "Seriously."
"Then catch a cold." Kyler said. "If you throw up, do so. But by all means, in a fight, be ever ready."
"Great. Kyler's here," Rachel groaned. "Now what?"
"Now that you guys are soaked to the bone, you guys are going to fight,"
"Who, you?" Rachel asked, "Then lets go."
"Um...Rachel," Blake said, "You can't beat him."
"C'mon. You have more licht energy than the guy."
"Yeah but then...I saw him fight the last time and...well, to be honest I don't know what he was doing but he could cut anyone without touching them."
"Blake's right." Shino said, "His rei isn't suitable for training."
"Then who are we training with?" Brandon asked
"He's right behind you." Kyler said. The three turned to see who it was.
"Wait I know you...you're Frank, right?" Brandon asked. The man nodded.
"Um...Brandon? Shouldn't your most important question be how the hell did the guy get behind us."
"Or the fact that he is..."
"Oh yeah...Blake, a word." Kyler said, dragging Blake away.
"Oh, right, Kyler. If its about Sarah then..."
"What you did, I'd actually like to thank you."
"Wh...what?"
"Not many inquisitors have the guts to take a life when needed to. But you did. Even against everything that you stood for."
"I can't be thankful for something like that."
"Not asking you to be. I also wanted to give you your dagger back." Kyler said, "It looks much longer and crude than the last time."
"I absorbed a part of Spen's hollow."
"Oh, that explains it. One more thing...your licht technique, how much do you know about it."
"Not much. There's no manual to it so I can't get the hang of it sometimes."
"In what way?"
"Well..." Blake paused, "I...feel it anytime someone dies. Their soul."
"So, I'm guessing you knew about Aaron and Barry's death long before you were informed. Hence your nonchalant mood all the time."
"Y...yeah." Blake said, "But why are you asking?"
"Well, I kinda knew someone who had the same kind of technique, and the way that person used it was in a whole different way."
"Haha. Figures."
"But hey, don't worry about it. That person couldn't use it on daemon as well so, just do what you do best."
"Okay," Blake said, going back to join Brandon and Rachel. Kyler watched him go with a smile on his face.
"Oh kids, how fast they grow."
"What?" Jacques said.
"Nothing, nothing. Forgot you were standing here."
"Yeah. You're so fixated on Blake that you forget your surroundings." Jacquez said, "What is he? Your secret lovechild?"
"What do you want, Ivez?" Kyler asked.
"Martha, Prime Diego and Prime Klaus are back."
The words were sharper than iron. Kyler swallowed hard before going back inside. "Then it begins. The IIIrd Daemon Incident." Kyler said.
