"I will get us out of here kiddo I promised." "where are we Kate?" Ruby asked feverishly, in the dingy dungeon or cave or hole or hell.
Yes, yes. She did come to that conclusion. This is hell. She can't belief any father could be this heartless.
Heartless! Ruby is surprise to find a place in here heart where compassion still lingers, for heartless is an understatement.
The devil is a saint compared to this man called her father.
"How is the little one Ruby?"
"She is find?"
"What makes you think is a girl."
"I don't think Kate, I know… the contractions and cramps excruciates my very existence."
"You shall pull through, kiddo."
"Stop crying Kate. I need strength and not pity."
"I don't pity you Ludy, neither I'm I crying?"
"If I can't see you doesn't mean I can't feel your emotions. You are my mother-sister, and my very best friend."
"I don't like it when you talk like that, Ludy." "When will you forgive yourself mom."
"Stop it, Ludy," Kate flipped rasply.
"No, I think it's time we clear this once and for all, mom. It's not my fault I was born you know."
"Please stop it!" Kate cried with spite, from the adjoining room in the dark.
"I have always seen the look in your eyes whenever you looked at me. Perhaps, that how your mom, out sister before us looked at you. She never forgave herself the guilt and misery. She makes you feel like you are a curse, a plague erupted from the loins of a diabolism. You never forgave her… and that is where you falter mom. I forgive you Kate, I love you…."
Kate got up and left the room silently. she couldn't bare the ugly reality and the illusion of it all.
Ruby was all alone again… choking in sobs. One of them has to be strong. She has choosen to be that one. Kate is weak. She was still caught in the snares of Nka.
Ruby had initially thaught they where on the same page when it comes to hating the man, but she did been wrong.
The man had conquered Kate body and soul. Kate have been working for Nka all this while, down to the death of Kuga.
Her man, this one man, her babies father. He had love her, in a way that scares her to the core, because she couldn't bare to lose him.
But at the end, she did lose him. he died in her arms. She did poision him, when she sinks her accursed fangs into his flesh.
She was not the right mate, that's why it didn't work. She had cried and cried all her tears for their unique love, whether they were life mates or not.
She had to stay strong for the little one in her belly. That's his gift to her. Their baby, their future and legacy. Thiers had been true, he is her only man.
And kate is her only hope out of this place, but she was too scared of Nka to even try anything.
How long has she been her? She couldn't tell. Maybe seven months or eaight months, she couldn't tell.
Her pregnancy is the close thing to time she had in here. Its due. Soon another being will come out of her, and she will love and protect her from the villainy of this world.

"We have to bring her out of that place father. Her pregnancy is due."
"let her give birth in the shit hole. You should be grateful I am still keeping her alive. Perhaps, her journey to torture had just begun.
I want her to feel the pain of death in childbirth."
Kate spat on the man's face, "Shame on you Nka. You are an old bastard, and shall always be. I will kill you with my bare hands, Nka. it's only a matter of time," Kate rasp with malace.
"You see why I don't like it whenever you go to see her. You always come back with this inflated strength I found quite intriguing. An aphrodisiac for the old bastard. Don't worry my dear, I will pay you back in the bed chamber tonight."
He laughed as Kate stormed out of the room. Nka was silent and introspective afterwards.
Most people don't understand, can't they? All he ever done was to protect and shape his family.
He loves his daughters, perhaps in ways that may be consider barbaric. Actually, what nobody knows, except Kate is that they're not children from his loins.
What people they don't understand they call barbaric and evil. Nka scoff and draw his regalia and snigger deep in his throat.
Only if they had live long like he had live, or travel through time and see the world like he had seen, or been to places he had been.
Ludy had always been a problem ever since she was a child. And secretly Nka admire the strength of this younger child with the blood of the Makilla.
Her gift is unparalleled. He had wanted that. how he did crave to be bitten by her some day.
That would have safe him years of research, in creating an alpha. But that wimp did the unexpected, he did plant his seeds in her womb.
She is expecting a girl. will she also be a Makilla like her mother? Nka smiled as a thought begin to crystalized on his mind.
"My lord, the package is ready for shipment," a man in suit bowed and said from the door way.
"Step in slash, how do you find your new job?" Nka asked the young man.
"Interesting and honorable than nothing worthwhile I did ever do in my life, my lord."
"This island is all ours…. And I bring only my trusted men here. Can I consider you as one of my trusted men Slash?"
"Yes my lord, to the blood and bone," Slash answered a little quickly, his pumping heart so noisy for his ears, and he started to perspire dizzily, when the Didn't say anything.
What if he doesn't believe him he thought.
"Don't carry yourself to a place you fear to be," Nka stated.
"I don't understand," Slash muttered dryly.
"You are scared to turn traitor, not because you are one. I found that doubly treacherous, Slash."
"Sorry for my weakness, master, I shall overcome."
"You never will, for weakness is like a genetic code. It can't hide for long. A snap of the fingers or a stamp of the feet, and the fear will take hold. But you are a good student, and your willing to learn. I love men who willing to expedite their learning."
Slash sighed in relief. he did think he will have a heart attack. He had seen how this predator kill men for far lesser deeds that suits not his temperament.
"Feed my daughter well. I want her well-nourished, the baby is due. Move her to a comfortable room but keep the door locked, and guarded at all time.
"Be careful with that one slash," Nka warned and laughed, as he walked down the stairs on to the courtyard towards the main gate of the fortress. where some of his men stood waiting. they were all in black suits fashion out of the same fabric. it will be had to distinguish Nka from his men, if you don't know him very well.
From the maingate, they approached the white sandy shore, where the boat was waiting.
Unlike Nka, His men where very alert outside the walls, for they have heard horrible stories about the ingenious tribes deep in the forest from some of their comrades who fought them before.
What is safer than to have a deadly territorial neighbor surrounding your fortress out of nowhere?
This place is one of his many places he had across the ocean. He loved the ocean, the vastness of it, its freshness, its tension and strength.
And like the ocean, he shall rule the fear of men, and bond them to his majesty.
Yet he never chooses to rule any people. Even they are beneath him. He lead kings and not people.
And he had few regrets. Regrets. Where is the word coming from? Why didn't he kill the wimp of a hybrid, when he had the chance.
He smiled to himself, killing such a man now will be all the more thrilling. He is worth the challenge. Maybe what kuga didn't know is that he has already started the war within the man's inner circle.
"I will kill you slowly, kuga" he ruminated happily in his heart of stone.
Nka got aboard the running boat. And the driver sped into the open sea….

Slash watched as the bought disappear with the master at the bend of the mountains on the Northside of the island, and he sighed unconsciously, he didn't know he was holding his breath all this while.
The presence of the man can make a man faint.
He walked to the kitchen; "what's up Roy, this lunch is taking so damn long."
"Then, I suggest you make yourself useful Slash. I am cooking for an army…"
"no body ask you to choose a spatula as a weapon Roy. Is the food for the princess ready?"
"Here you go" Roy handed the food flask to Slash with a sly cocky smile.
"By the way Slash, I will choose my kitchens and labs any day. I am no damn slinger."
"No Roy. Your problem is... never mind" Slash shake his head in resignation.
"What is my problem, Slash?"
"I don't know what you have for balls Roy!"
Slash said, chuckling as he closed the kitchen door behind him.
However, the man in the kitchen wasn't smiling. The insult was a palpable slap to his very existence. For in truth, he had no balls.
