Chapter 23 - Race Selection

After I pressed the Evolution button, a new screen opened up on it. It was a list. This list was a list of races that you can evolve into. There are a lot of names on this list. One can click on a name and check the races evaluation. The evaluation goes from combat efficiency, magic aptitude, crafting abilities, and many more. All evaluations range from 1 to 5 points. The higher the points, the better the race is at what is evaluated. There is also a description of what the race is like as both an individual and the race itself. So as an individual they could be absolutely ruthless to everyone they meet, but as a race, they could have a sense of racial honor it's something like that. There are also descriptions saying the race was created by whichever God or is beloved by the God or on very few is a race that survived the Shattering. The Shattering is a war that encompassed entire galaxies and was fought by all the gods and their respective races. To be honest, the labyrinth was created as a war ground where the gods can fight to their hearts content while keeping the stability of the many galaxies from crumbling its just that the labyrinths functions were expanded to allow races from other verses to participate in this place so it got bigger and more complex.

But I digress now I need to find a good race would be nice if I can get a super race. Super races go beyond the 5 point evaluation and can reach 10 points it's just that they have requirements before you can even see their name. Also, they are on their own list, and no, I haven't checked yet to be honest I don't think I have made the requirements for any of them because I need to get home to the real world as fast as I can so I think I'll have to be happy with a normal race. I know the requirements for a lot of super races, but they will all take more time to complete, and I really don't have the time. As I look through the list, I sigh as the races here all have the same problem with a higher score. There will be a downside, like having a 5 for magic and a 1 for physical combat. There are others like a race that has 3 points all the way through that one is the human race, by the way, and it's something like that. Maybe I should look for the ones that have the scores in the evaluations I want and work my way through them. What check the super race list oh come on I doubt there is anything there but ok.

Just so you know, it would have taken 2 years for the super races list to be found, and it would take a lot more to find out each races requirements. There are still some races that we in the past still didn't know the requirements or were just races that showed up randomly. Now then, the super race list well ill be there are 5 races on the list, which means I meet the requirements of these races. Ok, the first race is Rabi. Oh boy, this is trouble with a capital T. Why I'll tell you why. The 2 goddesses that created and remain the patrons of this race are the goddess of Luck and the goddess of Misfortune. I can hear you saying, "Shouldn't they hate each other?" No, they like each other very much, but the problem is they are like a couple of troublesome children. All they do all day is play pranks on everyone in reach and their pranks cause ither death or dismemberment. There are gods that want to deal with them, but because of what they are, the goddesses of angering them cause more damage than just leaving them be. There are gods they won't cross, and those same gods think of these 2 as beneath them, so they just leave them be. The other problem is if I take this race, I will be considered a part of their forces, and I will also get quests from them that would force me to pull pranks on everyone around me and the worst part the race themselves are an exact mirror of these 2 goddesses they will pull pranks on everyone in sight the only silver lining is they have a mage type known as Luckmancers and they are almost omnipotent I'm so skipping this one.

The next race is Dullahan. This race was created by the God of War to be a vanguard force in the Shattering, and no, they are not undead their combat evaluation is a rare 11 points this is very rare as normaly the max for super races are 10 there magical aptitude is the lowest at 5 contrary to popular belief they can't take their head off they are however born with a weapon and armor that is bound to their body and soul both weapon and armor can evolve and even modernize in my past life the Dullahans armor could become like a mobile suite armor and the weapon can scale with itas such they can fight in all terrain that also includes the void. Skipping this one too, the weapon and armor sound good, but I want a race that can help my clan, and this race only helps me this races all in crafting evaluation is the lowest for a super race 3 and that's under the norm this race is more a combat type than a crafting type an the crafting type will be more help.

The next race is Magma Lord looks like it's an elemental type, and its fire must be because I have the extreme fire aptitude as an elemental it is actually a primordial race it doesn't have a God protecting it but as an elemental force it can be considered a God race as it can create life these races are relatively rare as very few primordial races survived the Shattering. As this race its still possible to get quests they will come from the strongest person in the race, and you will get rewards not inferior to what the gods give. I'm skipping this one, too don't get me wrong this race can make another subrace but that race will be evaluated as a normal race rather than a super race let's just say there are plusses and minuses so I'll pass on this for now.

The next race is oh well well well it's a race we ran into once before the Spirit Bound. This is another primordial race. Its history is interesting before the Shattering they were a race that crafted great works for the betterment of all races they also created weapons of war, but they would only give them to races that were protecting themselves in the war of the Shattering they didn't pick a side so they were attacked by all however half of the amount of dead this also included gods died by their hands but by the end of the Shattering there was less than 40 of them left their last great work was the labyrinth itself after they created it they slowly died out. This race has poor combat abilities, but they have soul combat at the highest. Soul attacks can even kill gods. It's just that their souls are stronger than mortal souls this race also has soul crafting, which will help me the most alright. I'll check the last race, and if it's not better than this one I'll take this one.
