Samantha Green, a young and ambitious detective, was assigned to investigate a burglary at the home of a wealthy socialite, Mrs. Eleanor Thompson. Mrs. Thompson reported that her most prized possession, a valuable family heirloom, had been stolen from her safe.

"He should be at his ma'am," the butler said.

"Then that would be all." Samantha nodded taking a mental note of the butlers statement before deciding to continue her investigation and began to search the rest of the estate for any clues that might lead her to the thief. She asked Mrs. Thompson if anyone had been acting suspiciously in the days leading up to the theft, and Mrs. Thompson mentioned as well that her son, who had a history of financial problems, had been visiting her more frequently than usual.

Samantha made another mental note to question Mrs. Thompson's son and continued her search.
