Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Hidden Identity

'So, Mr. Andrius Damon, what has brought you here to our school?'

'I've always wanted to be a teacher to inspire and help younglings to discover their own passions and lead a happy life.'

The confidence shone bright in the young man's eyes as he answered with no hesitation. The room was equipped with an advanced air-conditioner, set in a full blast mode. However, the interviewer seemed to be sweating a lot more than the interviewee.

The Vice Chancellor loosened his tie as a sign of anxiousness. He couldn't keep eye contact for more than 5 minutes with the young man dressed in a nice suit in front of him. Being at 51 years old and experienced at his interviewing skills, the hands of the Vice Chancellor was shaking, it was a truly rare sight to behold.

Behind the young Andrius Damon, stood 3 men, looking emotionless and sharp, each of them dressed nicely in a suit and equipped with communication devices in each right ear. Undoubtedly, these three expressionless men struck fear into the poor old man. Not daring to keep his eyes away from the three men, the Vice Chancellor stood up while holding out his right hand as a sign of handshake, 'Pleased to work with you Mr. Andrius, you can start working next Monday.'

The smile on the young man shone brighter as he heard those words, 'Thank you, sir. I will do my best in making the campus a better place for the young students here.' The young man had finally gotten a step closer to his dream. Andrius suddenly stood up to try and shake the hand of the Vice Chancellor. Just as that happened, the old man screamed and covered his face as a posture of self-defense.

After putting down his hand and seeing the puzzled face of the young man in front of him, the Vice Chancellor had no more bravery in him to say another word. To make things worse, Andrius naturally asked his bodyguards to express his gratitude together with him. 'THANK YOU, SIR!' the four of them saying aloud with a 90-degree bow.

Shocked, the secretary rushed to the Vice Chancellor's room, scared that the Vice Chancellor might be in trouble. As she opened the door, Andrius and his bodyguards were standing at the door, each of them allowing the young secretary to enter first. As soon as she entered, the 4 men walked out of the office. She looked to the Vice Chancellor's table. Her eyes widened, seeing the Vice Chancellor passed out on his table. When she wanted to turn to the other side of the table to see the Vice Chancellor's condition, her high heels stepped on a puddle of water, a salty one at that. The poor old man let out a little mutter, 'I wanna retire soon,' before he fell down onto the floor.

Andrius Damon casually walked to his car. As he looked at his proud 2014 Chevrolet Cruze (Chevy), he could not be happier to finally get a job of his own. As he turned on his engine, his radio immediately played 'Barbie Girl by Aqua'. He shines his golden dragon-headed ring, before starting to drive home. Behind his car was another 4 black vans following him all the way back home.

However, what had brought this young man, Andrius Damon to the prestigious Edgewood Institute? Well, the reason is quite petty. It is actually just a deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons. In short, he fell in love.

Andrius was no different than the other students, maybe just a little bit.

As a matter of fact, he was the quiet kid, who always sat alone at his table. But one day, he was an eyesore for a rich kid, Nathan Barry. Andrius had always hogged the table all to himself every day, today was no exception. Nathan, a spoiled brat who lives under his father's wealth and fame, noticed that the quiet kid had always been an island.

The whole cafeteria was filled with chatters and laughter. The sun was smiling ever so brightly, shining light into the four-seasoned cafeteria. Andrius ate his regular meal, meat porridge. He was feeling quite hungry that day, so that was his second bowl. Suddenly a shadow came nearing him, it was none other than Nathan Barry and his gang.

Their mischiefs were overlooked by the authorities of the school, due to the father's influence in the area. They had multiple cases of bullying, each of them being overlooked as each of them failed. The most successful bully case Nathan and his group had was stealing a student's eraser, which was given back once the student started crying.

Nathan slammed both of his hands onto the table, standing tall opposite of Andrius. Nathan has a slender body build and a pretty face with shiny blue eyes. If it weren't for his attitude, girls would have fallen head over heels for him, for his looks of course. Andrius stopped chewing for a second, then continued. Nathan couldn't let the ignorance past, and pointed his finger at Andrius, 'Ha! Ha! Look at this loser, sitting by himself with no friends around him!' Even the whole cafeteria ignored him.

Out of nowhere, an old cleaner with a mop came in front of Nathan and hit Nathan's foot with a mop so that she could mop that area. Due to that, Nathan was embarrassed and gotten even more flustered. He started venting out on Andrius, 'Hey, kid! I don't care who you are, but you are sitting at my table. I'll give you a chance to get up and leave before me and my boys beat you to a pulp!'

Andrius, without a care in the world, continued enjoying his hot porridge. One of Nathan's underlings suddenly voiced, 'Hey, do you even know who our boss is? He is the son of the infamous, Stan Barry, the owner of the biggest casino in this area! Mess with us, you'll be messing with him!' Andrius, still with no reaction, instead slowing down his speed of eating his porridge. Nathan had enough, he curled up and pulled back his fist, ready to deliver a punch to Andrius' face.

With Andrius' head still down, he placed his spoon down. Everyone in the cafeteria went silent. The cleaner stopped cleaning. As well as the cafeteria's workers stopped moving. Every individual that was sitting down, stood up, except for Andrius. It was dead silence. No one dared to move. Nathan was shocked. He couldn't believe his eyes. He took a few steps back before tumbling onto the floor. His underlings were speechless too. They had no idea what to do. Nathan stood back up to his weak knees. He started apologising to Andrius, 'It was just a little prank, hahaha, no need to take it too seriously. It was not even my idea, it's this idiot's,' Nathan pointed to the underling that talked just now. Threatening him by stepping on his foot, the underling added, 'Yes, yes, I'm an idiot, ahahahaha….'

Andrius looked up at the half-scared to death Nathan, raising his eyebrow. Still being emotionally anxious, he blurted out, 'Please sit down everyone, today's meals are on me, so please sit down.' Everyone happily sat down and the workers continued working after Andrius picked up his spoon and continue enjoying his porridge. The cafeteria was back to being noisy. Nathan and his gang left the cafeteria with their heads down.
