They soon arrived at their destination and parked their car in the parking lot. They got off and took the elevator.
Once they reach the hall they saw a lot of men dressed in black surrounding the place. They went to the registration hall and show the ticket Harry booked to the receptionist.
"Welcome sir, please follow me," The woman beside the receptionist said as she was ordered.
Harry nodded and as he was putting the card back into his leather wallet he purposely showed the black card given to him by the woman in the underground organization.
The receptionist who saw the card immediately change her attitude and said, " Esteemed guest, I'm sorry please follow me."
The receptionist then winked at one of the ladies beside her and they immediately understood what she meant.
This was also the reason why Harry even hire the underground organization to do his bidding and that is to acquire their card which provided some benefits.
Yes, the auction that will be held was also one of the businesses of the crow organization which is the organization he hired.
Being a customer of the crow organization's mercenary means that you are protected by them to some extent and they will also give you some benefits which is also the reason why Harry didn't just hire some thugs or goons to trouble Charles.
It is also different if Harry just bought directly from some public business of the crow organization because it doesn't involve that business.
He didn't know how his future self learned all of this but it was sure note-worthy. He wanted to know how but he guessed that he couldn't do anything because it happens in the future so he decided to just leave it be.
After being led to a room the receptionist then politely showed them a set of plain masks and hooded robes, "Here sir, you can wear this to protect your identity."
Cai Ying on the side was confused by what she was experiencing she didn't know why they need to wear masks and robes and why even hide their identity but she didn't dare raise a question because she might get scolded.
Harry wore the mask and put on the hooded robe without asking as they were led again to the other room.
In this room, there were no more than ten people all of them also wearing a mask and hooded robes.
Harry and Cai Ying sat on one of the seats shown by the receptionist, in front of them was a transparent glass that showed the stage, and below it was for the other bidders.
Meanwhile, in the room, most of the masked figure was looking at Harry and Cai Ying their expression was hidden behind the masks but they were interested in them because they have been participating in the auction most of the time, and most of them already knew each other but not in person but just that they knew each other as a competitor.
The auction had already started and the host was already showing the third item which is a necklace with a diamond pendant.
"This is the necklace created by a well-known craftsman in the 14th century this necklace is embedded with a perfect diamond pendant that was crafted precisely, the starting bid is 500,000 dollars," the host said, and as soon as he finished some started bidding but on the room where Harry and Cai Ying was no one seems interested in it.
The bid reach 5 million dollars and after that, a woman entered with a cart that contains a stone.
"This is not just an ordinary stone everyone as this piece of rock was the debris of a meteorite fallen a hundred years ago. This is a good collection as it contains a strange element that was yet to be known or you can also share it with anyone. The starting bid for this item is 700,00 dollars," the host said and the crowd then started bidding.
The room around Harry seems to be uninterested in the meteor because what they are trying to find here seems to be the main item for the auction.
The bid reach 13 million already and seems to be the end but before the host started counting Harry pressed the plus sign button on the left that shows +1,000,000$.
"14 million going once.."
"14 million going twice..."
"Deal," the host said and soon the next item was presented, meanwhile in the room the other figures look at Harry with an odd looks.
They didn't expect that Harry would bid on a worthless item. But what they didn't know was that Harry attended this auction because of it, it was what he came here for and it is the ingredient only known by some in the future. The diary said that this is a useless item even after the cataclysm but before the cataclysm this thing is the most important thing he wanted to acquire.
Harry didn't show any reaction and waited for the auction to end.
Items after item were presented and the figures in the same room as Harry didn't bid on anything.
"And now for the main event the next item is...," the host purposely cut what he was saying as he removed the cloth covering the item which is inside a glass.
"This is an item found in the tomb of one of the relatives of Alexander the Great. This dagger that is said to contain the power of the wind is named The Gale's Blade. The starting bid is 10 million dollars," the host said, and as he finished some of the crowd bid but it was not at the same pace as before where they would bid continuously.
Some were confused why a seemingly normal-looking dagger was so high in price and they just thought that its price was because of its historical value but on the other hand the figure in the same room as Harry was already bidding.
"15 million by our VIP," the host said as one of the figures raise the bid directly to 15 million.
"19 million once again from our VIP," the host said with a beaming smile on his face.
"This is mine fools I won't let you guys win this time," one of the masked figures said as he pressed the button and directly raised the bid to 30 million.
"This dagger contains a strong aura and it seems suitable for my grandson," another figure said his voice didn't sound like an old one because the mask has an out of the world properties which change the voice of the wearer.
"50 million everybody," the host shouted joyfully as he looked at the screen that was showing the bid of the ones in the VIP section.
"60 million,," the host shouted again as the crowd soon quoted down. Their budget already reached its limit and only the VIP was fighting among themselves.
In the room, the figure was looking around because they didn't know who bid but no one asked because it is their privilege to do so.
Cai Ying was confused as the auction kept going she didn't know why the auction feels so strange and why does her boss was being treated as a VIP. As an assistant, she naturally knew who her boss was she had even taken note of his every move and mannerism before but from the past few days, it was shown to her that what she found out was completely wrong.
