I walked out of the portal with a bright smile on my face. I took a deep breath of fresh air. "Where the fuck am I?" I asked myself as I looked around.
There was a big forest around me, and an army of Zerek's kingdom knights. They were surrounding an elf girl, pointing their weapons at her.
"Kill the witch!" the leader yelled as his soldiers rushed toward her.
"Fuck!" I jumped forward in fear that they might kill her. There was no way I would let them kill my summoner right after I was summoned. I am not going back to the library!
I appeared between the elf girl and the knights. Then I lowered my head,
"What are your orders?" I asked, making her realize that I was summoned by her.
She didn't hesitate and through tears, she screamed. "Save me!"
"First things first..." I walked toward her and extended my hand toward her. On the back of my hand, there was a symbol of a dragon eating its tail, a symbol of eternity. It represented our eternal bond.
She understood what needed to be done and closed her eyes as she waited for our contract to be sealed. I kissed her lips and a blinding light filled my eyes as I felt a warm feeling run through my body. I felt something changing within me. Soon I noticed a status window, which represented my new status.
*Ping*
[Rank: Summoned hero
Level: 1
Stats: -
Strength: Error
Intelligence: Error
Mana: Error
Durability: Error
Skills: Error]
My level made sense, as a newly summoned hero my level regressed to 1. However, seeing all the errors in my stats made me wonder whether the errors in my stats were due to my training in cultivation. The system itself represented magic levels, not my ki.
The knights stopped charging when they realized the elven girl summoned me. They stood there, confused, as the leader of the group stared at me.
"S-She is a summoner!" the leader exclaimed, his face turning pale. He raised his sword and charged toward me. "But he's still only a level one! Kill them!"
I dodged the sword slash by moving just a few steps back.
"You... You're too slow." I awkwardly said, but quickly shut my mouth when I realized that my accent became heavy after a thousand years. My face was flushed from embarrassment.
The others tried to join their leader and attack me, however, I simply extended my finger at their leader. I condensed my ki at the tip of my finger and launched it toward him like a spear. His head was split in two, and he fell dead on the ground.
"What is this?" the knights shouted, startled by my actions.
"Isn't he supposed to be level one?"
The knights took a step back, terrified. One of them had enough presence of mind to pull out his weapon, but before he could attack, I released a barrage of ki toward them.
"Stop! We surrender!" one of them said, dropping their sword. They hoped that as a summoned hero, I would spare those who surrendered. However, it only made me chuckle.
"Do you think I care that you surrendered?" I asked with a menacing voice. I launched myself toward the knight who dropped his weapon. I grabbed him and slammed him against the ground with a loud snap. "I want to know why my master was being arrested."
Other knights tried to help their comrade, but I sent them flying back with a single wave of my hand.
"I'll tell you if you spare me!" the knight cried, hoping that I'd show mercy. I turned toward him and spoke in a low voice.
"Depends on my mood..." I answered with a smile.
My accent made the man tremble even more, which slightly annoyed me. I released him and stood up.
"Speak!" I said with a forceful tone.
"A-Aren't you supposed to be level one?" He asked me, still trembling.
I walked up to him and stomped his foot in anger. I could feel his bones crunch beneath my feet. He groaned in pain, but then he continued speaking.
"S-She was arrested for being... a witch!"
"A witch? Please explain." I was curious, how did she end up having a title of a witch?
"I don't know much, but...summoners... are considered evil!" he said, fearfully.
I scoffed. "Evil?" I asked with an incredulous tone.
"Summoners... Must... die!... If we can't kill them, they might summon another hero!" the knight explained, his hands shaking.
That's what it is. They feared that the summoner might summon another hero. But... I was more than enough to show the might of a summoner.
I stood up and with a smile on my face extended my hand toward the rest of the knights.
"For Miranda!~" I said in a sing-song voice, as I launched spears of ki. It flew at them like an arrow, piercing through the chest of every last one of them.
"Now then..." I exclaimed as I turned to my summoner who stood frozen in fear. Her face was distorted by fear.
I grabbed her by the collar, and with a gentle smile on my face I asked.
"Will you be my master?"
She slowly gulped and nodded, letting out a deep breath.
"W-What are you?" She asked.
"My name is Dorian..." I exuded confidence, as I replied with a smile.
"Dorian?" she repeated, still confused.
"Before you summoned me... I was Dorian Silver... Now..." I paused, I wondered who was I. I needed my summoner to give me a name.
"Yes?" she asked.
I grabbed her hand and asked. "Who am I? Give me a last name"
"I'm sorry, but I don't know..."
I grabbed her shoulders and pulled her closer to me. I hugged her tightly.
"Give me a name..." I whispered.
I held her for a long time until she finally spoke. I was wearing red clothes, and my hair turned red for a thousand years, so she gave me the name "Red. How about... Red Venerable?"
