Chapter 1 - chapter 1: L.O

Jinhoo Han, a full-time gamer and streamer, sat in his chair while playing the VR game Legends Online, the most popular game worldwide. As he sat there, he thought, "Maybe I should quit streaming its not like im making money from it because NewTube doesn't want to monetize me so im just doing this for nothing and the only money that i get from this is gifts my viewers sends me ."

As he played, he finished up the last dungeon raid and started talking to his chat.

"Nice raid today, guys, huh?"

[Chat]

User123: "That was epic! We nailed that boss!"

GamerGal98: "GG everyone! So close to that drop!"

EpicFan42: "Jinhoo, did you see that last-minute save? Crazy!"

NoobMaster5000: "When are we doing this again? Need to get that loot!"

---

"Yeah, the raid was sick, but I think I'm going to end the stream for now."

As he said that, a huge earthquake shook the entire city of Seoul.

"Huh, did you guys feel that earthquake?"

As he looked around his room, his chat started moving out of control.

[Chat]

Bigfatmoney: "Yeah, I felt it too, crazy stuff."

MoneyMan22: "Yo, did you see that? A big-ass tower just spawned outside my office window."

EpicFan42: "I'm not in Seoul, but I just saw it trending on Twitter!"

MoneyMan22: "No joke, I can see the tower from my window! It looks like it's... what the hell?"

MoneyMan22: "It looks like the tower from Legends Online! Check NewTube, you'll be able to see it."

Jinhoo turned around, looked at the chat, and read what they said. He checked his phone and saw the news showing three towers that looked just like the ones in Legends Online.

As he scrolled through various NewTubers who made content about Legends Online, he saw that they were all saying the same thing—it looked like the towers from L.O.

"Is Legends Online really coming to reality?" Jinhoo thought, looking at NewTube. As he thought that, a system window popped up in front of him.

---

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]

[Legends Online] full first update has been installed.

Please complete the first floor of the tower within the allotted time of [5 days].

[Or all of humanity will be eliminated.]

---

"This can't be real," Jinhoo thought as he sat down in his chair, ending his stream.

"If the tower from L.O is in real life, it's better to go there and gather loot before other players get there."

He changed out of his clothes, putting on a black tracksuit and a pair of white sneakers.

I better hurry before all the starter loot gets taken.

The world might come to an end, but why is that my problem? I didn't make the towers appear, so let's get looting.

---

[Seoul Station]

"What the hell is happening? Is the world going to end?" a woman shouted as she rushed through the crowded station.

"F**k! I knew this day was going to come—the end of the world!" a man yelled, his eyes wide with fear.

"I can't believe it! The towers are real!" shouted a teenager, holding his phone high to capture the view outside.

"Did anyone even read the fine print?" an older man grumbled, shaking his head. "Five days? What kind of sick joke is this?"

"We need to leave the city before we die!" a woman shouted.

As they were talking, Jinhoo ran past them at full speed, heading to the tower right beside Seoul Station. It had crushed half of Seoul Station and the office building next to it.

Jinhoo entered a small building right in front of the tower.

---

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]

You have entered a small tower.

---

"Seems like it's exactly like L.O, so the quest here must be to win the favor of the [Snake King]."

As he entered the building, a group of people stood around, looking at a pool of water that shone like diamonds, with lily pads and flowers floating on top.

"..."

'Seems like I'm not the only one who thought to come here. All these people look like streamers and players of L.O.'

'They all gathered here to get the Sword of Judgment. I guess that would be natural.'

'The Sword of Judgment is a one-time loot item. It's going to be useful in the first half of the tower; it helps identify malintent.'

As he headed to the front of the room, he was stopped by a familiar face.

"Jinhoo, nice to see you, man. How long has it been?"

Jinhoo turned around with a look that could kill a man if it could.

"What is this piece of shit doing here? I didn't know he played L.O."

[Lee Sung Ha – Jinhoo's college friend who betrayed him by sleeping with his girlfriend.]

"Yeah, it's been a long time, I guess."

"I heard you became a popular streamer by playing L.O., so you know what's in the dungeons. Maybe me and you can team up."

"What the f**k is this piece of shit talking about teaming up? Does he not remember what he did?"

Jinhoo forced a smile, but inside, his stomach churned. "Yeah, I guess I did. But I don't really team up with just anyone," he replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Lee Sung's grin faded slightly, but he quickly masked it with enthusiasm. "C'mon, man! We both know this is no ordinary game. We could dominate together, just like old times!"

"Is this guy sick in the head? Why would I team up with you?" Jinhoo thought.

"Yeah, I'll see about that."Jinhoo said turning to walk away

As Jinhoo walked away, Lee Sung's face twisted in anger. He ran and pushed Jinhoo down, then went up to the pool and threw in the coin to summon the snake.

'It's not even a second and this f**ker betrayed me already.'

As the coin fell to the bottom of the pool, the snake appeared. It was a red snake, with some of its scales shining bright gold. It stood 10 meters tall and had vibrant red eyes.

---

[Who has called upon the great Snake King, Mahoraga?]

---

'Huh, it looks just like in the game.'

'If it's just like the game, if you answer the 3 questions wrong, you'll die. If you answer them all correctly, you get a random item. But if you kill Mahoraga, you get the Sword of Judgment.'

To be continued.....
