Michael dropped us off at Alliana's house and waited for us behind the yard. I scanned the surroundings; everything was quiet, no one seemed to be awake, and there were no cars in sight. Denzel and Vex made their way to hide behind some trees in front of the house, while AJ and I moved toward the porch.
I had bought a pin so we wouldn't have to mess with the door. It opened smoothly and silently, without a creak. AJ and I carefully stepped inside, moving cautiously as we couldn't see much. I grabbed my flashlight and handed it to AJ to hold. We scanned the room, searching for the staircase. It took a moment to navigate through Alliana's living room.
