Senlin vilage was quite far. Chen Xi woke Lin Ye up in the wee hours in order to prepare for departure. She had already packed everything prior so it was a bit easy for her to take care of everything else.
Chen Xi drove her to the company and she found several people already waiting at the entrance. Lin Ye marveled at their professionalism.
Lin Ye did not want Chen Xi's presence to create unnecessary attention so she asked him to pack a bit further from the gate.
Chen Xi pulled up her sweater once the car stopped. He reminded her carefully, "I hear the village is a bit infested with mosquitos so ensure that you use your mosquito repellents."
Lin Ye smiled and nodded, "You have reminded me ever since we left home. Don't worry, I will stay healthy."
Her tone was light yet Chen Xi felt a sudden tightness in his chest. The last time his eyes left her, she had been gone for six years.
