I watched as Samiel returned. Then my eyes spotted him looking at Aamon, so I naturally asked.

However, when he said he was considering befriending that guy, I immediately snapped at him which might have been a bit abrupt and unexpected.

He asked why and I told him he wasn't someone he needed to be friends with.

He asked me if I knew him. Of course, I knew that guy. But I can't tell him that. So I gave a vague answer and warned him. It was his choice to believe me or not.

Thankfully, he believed me. "Just don't get mad at me, ok?"

For some reason, his words sounded a bit weird, maybe affectionate.

Guessing he might be feeling awkward and uncomfortable, I softened my voice and thanked him for trusting me. "And... I'm not mad..."

Not at you, at least...

Finally, the ceremony ended and we were taken to a nearby hotel. It seems the hotel was specifically prepared for children like us, who just underwent awakening.
