One week passed since Hazel lost consciousness out of shock.
Hazel slowly peeked inside her young master Samiel's room with curious and suspicious eyes. She had a vague memory of her young master speaking to her which she found impossible and strange.
"So, you want me to learn this?!" A slightly childish and immature voice sounded from the room.
{First young master is talking with young master... How cute...} Hazel thought as she watched young Somir speaking to little baby Samiel.
{I was worried for nothing. It must have been a hallucination.} She thought and started walking away.
{Wait? Talking?} Hazel thought and she abruptly turned her back and entered the room with haste.
To her surprise, Somir was sleeping beside Samiel. Samiel also seemed to be sleeping.
Hazel shook her head a few times... {I think I really need to rest...}
Then she slowly left the room afraid of waking them up.
The room was silent.
{Sorry, Hazel... I will make it up later...} Samiel thought as he slowly opened his eyes.
He knew beforehand she was watching them when she arrived near his room. It was because of his mental ability, Mind Link.
He discovered that after the first day. He could sense the linked's person's location if they were nearby. The limit was around ten meters right now.
Then he looked at his brother with a slight worry.
Because he was in the process of awakening his mind as he did a week ago.
Of course, he was the one who taught his brother.
Albeit the technique he taught was slightly different.
{Brother! You can do it!} He thought and encouraged his brother.
In a week's period, their relationship deepened a lot. Samiel started to talk with his brother after he linked their minds the day after he awakened the ability.
Surprisingly Somir didn't show that much reaction like Hazel when he first spoke to him. It was the opposite, Somir was so happy that he would come to him to play and talk all the time aside from eating time. They would talk a lot and this made both of them happy.
{It is understandable... Since he must feel lonely all the time.} Samiel thought. {I was like that too... There is no one to talk to... Alone...}
Their parents would always be on a mission as they were needed everywhere. That's why he and his brother would meet them not so often. Sometimes they wouldn't come home for months.
This was one of the reasons he wanted to get stronger and stop this chaos and wars. He wanted peace, he wanted to live a peaceful time with his family.
{Maybe, that's why I became unsocial, lonely, and introverted?} Samiel guessed.
He was always alone and wouldn't talk that much. He didn't have many friends or people he could rely on. Even though he and his brother never hated them. Thankfully, the war with the demons also stopped. And in that year his sister was born.
{Friends, huh?} Samiel thought. Images of a few figures passed through his mind. {I wonder how would I be without them. An extreme introvert?}
{And there is 'her' too... Sigh... I don't want to remember them now...} He sighed internally as a certain person's face appeared in his mind. A certain someone he held dear to his heart...
{Ah! I will meet her when I turn 2!} Samiel thought as he remembered another special person. {I'm going to make things right this time!}
Suddenly he felt waves of mind power beside him. Then he looked at his brother.
{Did he do it?} He thought.
As if he guessed correctly, Somir was in the process of awakening his mind space.
Boom!
Another wave of mind power spread through the room.
{Succes! He did it! Brother has awakened!} Samiel clapped his hands in joy.
As he said, Somir was now officially A Mind Awakener.
{Wait, it is continuing?} He smiled. {Let's see which level he can go. Is he also talented in mind?}
{Let's see who is stronger in this.} He thought as his motivation soared.
Although their relationship was the best, they still had a competitive spirit between them. His brother was a genius on the physical side while he was on the intelligence side.
Five hours passed and Somir broke through four times in total and reached the fourth level of the Mental Awakening Stage.
{Hehe! I am stronger in this one!} Samiel laughed inwardly as he broke through 6 times in total when he awakened.
"Hmm..." Somir slowly opened his eyes as his awakening ended.
"Brother?" He muttered lowly as he found his little brother who was looking at him intently. Then his face brightened up and hugged his baby brother.
{Ughh!!!} Samiel found it hard to breathe.
{Brother... Stop hugging me... I can't breathe...} He barely sends this message to Somir.
"Oh! Sorry, little brother." Somir let go of him and he took a few deep breaths.
"I... I appeared in a strange and scary place... I was alone... I thought I would never see you again... Sorry..." Somir spoke.
{Don't worry, big brother. That was your Mind Space. Remember I told you about it yesterday.} Samiel consoled his brother. He imagined how scary it must have been to a three-year-old boy alone in an unknown place.
{Can you tell me what kind of place that was brother?} Then he asked Somir. He wanted to know what kind of Mind Space his brother had.
"Oh... I can..." Somir replied. "There were a lot of shiny swords on my left side and... and..."
{Don't worry, you can tell me later if you want.} Samiel spoke.
{Was that really scary?} He thought.
"N-no... I will tell you." Somir argued.
{Ok.}
"I... I saw a huge scary red monster on my right side..." Somir explained. "It had scary eyes and large wings..."
{Was it a dragon?}
"I... I don't know... No... Its wings were like a bird's wings..." Somir replied as he struggled to remember.
{Don't worry brother. It wasn't a monster. It was your familiar.} Samiel said as he realized what it was.
"F-familiar?" Somir tilted his head in confusion. "What is that?"
{Err... It means a friend. Yeah, it is your friend.} Samiel could only find this word to explain.
"Friend? Like you?" Somir asked as his fear started to go away slowly.
{Yes. He will always protect you. And play with you if you want.} Samiel replied.
"Really, you mean it?" Somir's eyes brightened as he was excited about this new 'friend'.
{Yes. Really. I will go there with you next time if you want.} Samiel spoke again.
"Ok! But I need to eat first. I am feeling hungry." Somir stood up and rubbed his belly which was growling.
{Ah! Ok. There is a sister behind that door. You can ask her to bring your food here.} Samiel spoke.
"Sister! I am hungry!" Somir ran toward the door and opened it. Hazel was standing with a blank expression.
