The reason he is afraid of the King William, Princess Amelia's father is related to the two events.

The first incident took place during their initial encounter at the party. Even to this day, Brother vividly remembers the words spoken by the king. He even trembles when remembering William's intimidating look. (He confided in me about it after the party when he brought Aunty Isabella to my room.)
