Part-II The Abandoned Planet
I bid farewell to my home , as we barely escaped the catastrophe . I finally stated to come to my senses again when I noticed my little sister Melody crying . 'Just how long has she been crying?, and how come I ignore it ?' .....
Dad told me to be strong as till mom and he returns I need to make sure that Melody is safe ,and I have nothing to worry for as long as I have my mother's trusted disciple with me.
I glanced at Rose who was piloting the mobile and asked : " Rose where are we going? "
She turned the autopilot mode on and took her time as she stretched her back and hands before taking a seat opposite to me and replied "First we need to group up with your big brother to see what we can do , so we are set on the course of our Universe Capital planet 'Aurora Prime' , also it's possibly the safest option for us to go there under the protection of the Golden Union Academy I highly doubt anyone will dare to even attack ."
"So we will be meeting him shortly...."
Eric Rifold, my big brother who is 5 years older than me. Just like dad he had signs of early growth and development so he was sent to train to understand the essence of mana last year at Aurora Prime , I really still don't get what does that even mean aside from the fact that understanding mana's essence enhances one's Magic strength by several folds, It's been a while since I last saw him , I wonder what he's upto ...
I was trying my best to don't think about what just happened but I just can't shake off the scene of the burning estate and the burning city from my mind ....
"Hey Aeric do you want to eat some snacks perhaps? , I have stored some in the cupboard behind that couch.", Rose was trying her best to be optimistic but there was a constant fear in all of our head , and we were wishing that it just stays as a fear nothing more. Just when I was about to stand there was a sudden turbulence, "What happened?"
"It looks like the engine is damaged , it must've been during that harsh launch off... we are going to do a emergency landing on the nearest planet which can sustain life", Rose went through her control monitor to see through all the planet nearby , luckily she found one .
"Hey Aeric, I'm sorry for the trouble but we need to make a quick stop on an abandoned planet named 'Gusta' , I promise it'll be quick " She gestured by keeping her lef hand on her chest and right towards me, I've known her since I was 4 , she also has babysit me a lot so I know that when she's unsure about something she make that gesture ,"Fine , it's your ship after all , but are you sure that you can manage to repair the engine?
"Don't worry the damage is minor, it's a good thing that we noticed it quickly or else it could've been worse, we are about to enter Gusta's gravity field , as we do so , we'll take a speed boost and aim for the ground, grab your sister and hold anything that's nearby you , this is going to be rough"
Just as we entered the gravity field, there was violent turbulence , I grabbed my crying little sister as we somehow landed safely on land.
"Next time remind me please to never take me anywhere when you are driving ."
"Hey , come on it's due to the engine fault!" she protested
"yeah-yeah sure"
"Anyways , so did Melody fell asleep?"
"Yeah barely, well it's given after all this chaos no one can be stable"
"Hey Aeric , are you okay?"
My eyes were about to tear up but then I remembered what I was instructed ' Stay Strong my son no matter what happens', I held back my tears and said'
"Yeah , Dad told me to be strong so I'll try my best , besides isn't my dad strongest in the multiverse , he'll be fine"
"Well Sir Godric is indeed that strong but ...."
There was a hint of fear on Rose face, But I ignored it , "I'm heading to the lake up ahead to drink water "
"Alright , It seems that we're going to stay here for the entire night so better to know your surroundings"
I made my way towards the small lake. The water was so clear that I could see the ground beneath its surface. After a while , I returned to the landing site, where I saw Rose. She had changed from her training bodysuit into casual wear, consisting of a black tank top and a white jeans. It seemed she was still brainstorming on what to do in order to fix the engine.
after about an hour , she asked "Are you hungry?"
"'No, I'm fine." I replied. Just as I refused, a sudden growl came from my stomach.
she looked at my all embarrassed face with a smirk .After a while she brought some canned food from her ship as we ate our dinner and went to sleep.
"FIND ME" ,I suddenly woke up as I heard a strange noise, I looked around as I saw Rose sleeping on one tree bark where she ate .I quickly realized that the noises were coming from the woods . I sneaked my way through Rose and followed the voice ,
"I'm Here" I heard it again , this time it was much closer. I further followed a strange feeling which led me to an empty circular gap in the forest , there wasn't even grass in the radius of that circle. But I didn't notice that as my eyes were fixated on that was in the middle, A strange single leaf which had a goldish-red glow . I reached out and touched it. The leaf suddenly exploded in a burst of red light, knocking me off my feet.
Rose POV:
I was peacefully sleeping , that's when I sensed that something went across me . From the moment we landed on this planet I always sensed something weird eerie from between those woods. I glanced over our surrounding to make sure everything was okay, "Hmm .. okay Melody is sleeping, now let's see Aeri-What the hell! " Aeric was missing in this unknown planet, alone, in the midnight , how careless of me , how can I show my face to Miss Resa?
I then heard a strange explosion in the middle of the forest. I quickly used 'Hyper Dash,' which allows me to run five times faster than normal.
I reached the blast site where I found Aeric lying unconscious on the ground.
